i first bought the set back in 06 and found that the set was too much to carry. so then what i did was buy the spaker one at a time. that way i could add when ever i had money to spend because if i buy the whole set at one time then it is expensive because i have no money currently, but besides that the system sounds sleek. it just needs a nice reciever and an expensive amp and i think you are good to go. like everyone says cable doesnt matter but for these speakers i noticed that better cables are the way to go because you can actually tell the difference. sometimes i dont understand the price diference between these expensive cables but ui think its the worth the money because of the output it puts out and the sweet sound. though im not a big fan of spending to much money on wires, i think its better if you do for this product because of the amazing sound it gives out. its worth the money and i think you should invest in it.

I live on an acre of land and was always having trouble with playing music/sporting events when I was outdoors so that I could hear it throughout my property. Whether it was gardening in the back of my lot or hosting a party in the backyard (which is 3/4ths acre of grass) I couldn't get a consistent level or ended up with poor quality sound. Other speaker systems just post up to the back of the house but for a large lot that isn't enough.  I bought 2 of them and placed them in just the right places in my yard to get 360-degree sound throughout my ENTIRE property. We didn't have to take additional power or speaker wire through our yard as other options would have had us do. And we can hook up our mics, mp3s/ipods, cd/dvds, ect. all through our head unit in order to have it support a variety of uses outside. **We bought these SEVEN years ago** and they are still going strong!!! And while the price tag is high, it is WORTH EVERY PENNY, especially when it comes to a 10 year warranty (unheard of on electronics these days). I can't say enough about how much I love these speakers and their output!!!

I love all Bose products. I have a system in my home as well as in my car. Every sound that comes out of the speakers is completely crystal clear. I enjoy listening to my music really loud, and my Bose system in my truck is definitely a luxury for my ears. Lovin' me some Bose!! Good Quality, Good Equipment!!

My first response to Bose Free Space was sticker shock; I am a bit tight with my coins. Then came the sound and WOW I was hooked! These little speakers put out enough sounds for me to weed my entire football field size garden without changing volume or location. I am completely amazed by the technology of Bose, I have also feel for their Ipod docking Speakers and am sure I will find a new love in the Bose line soon.

In terms of the peaker/stereo industry, Bose is a name that is first off of most people's tongues. There is a reason for that, as Bose has constantly produced quality systems at reasonable prices. This new speaker from Bose is no different. Where do I begin with all of its fantastic qualities? Well, for starters, it produces a great amount of sound from such a compact set of speakers. In describing one of its great features, I already led into another great quality! It is very compact and takes up very little space, leaving a person with tons of other space for things to augment the speakers, such as stereos, computers, televisions, etc. The only slight knock I have on the Bose speakers is the price. It is a bit pricey for my taste, however, for something that has such amazing quality, durability, and effectiveness, I will gladly pay the extra amount. I recommend these speakers to anyone who is buying a speaker system. Trust Bose, they will not let you down!

The Bose Free Space 51 Main / Stereo Speaker are the best outdoor speakers I've owned or even listened too.  After going through 2 other brands of outdoor speakers, we decided to spend the money on a Bose pair.  Not only is the sound quality supreme, they have already lasted longer than the last 2 pairs of outdoor speakers we had.  I couldn't be more pleased with these.
