Typically I cook from scratch, but I do keep Bisquick on hand. Bisquick is a pre-mixed flour for baking. No need to worry with salt and baking powder or baking soda. — From what I understand, Bisquick was first made as a pancake base. The pancakes are good. The recipe is right on the side of the box. I think they're better than pancake mixes but not as good as my cousin Lynn's recipe that she gave me long ago. — If you're up to scratch cooking, then here's Cousin Lynn's pancake recipe: — http://www.gardenandhearth.com/Southern-Cooking/Pancakes.htm — At some point…

I don't know why Bisquick is so much better than the other brands, I just know that it is. I've tried buying cheaper brands, thinking it would all the be the same, but there is something special about the taste of food made with Bisquick. It may cost a little more, but hardly worth mentioning. There's so much you can do with this stuff! Biscuits, pancakes, muffins, and it makes such good coffee bread! That is my absolute…

food lover, use quality ingredients
Bisquick has been around as long as I can remember, and I have been around for over 50 years. I grew up as a kid using Bisquick. Making dumplings and bean soup, with a good hunk of ham in there. Winter was always great to look forward to in Illinois, because we knew we would get our Bisquick dumplings. They were easy to make & just delicious to eat, so moist. Mmmmm. Mix a little Bisquick in a bowl & a little milk and mix together & you're done. Just drop them into the hot bubbling bean soup and wait for about 20 minutes to cook and whalah!! Super easy recipe is on the side of…

I am a 50 year-old grandma of 7 and can clearly rememner seeing the Bisquick box when I was growing up! My mom used it for breakfast dishes ( pancakes, biscuits...) , for dinner ( dumplings or topping for Shepards Pie) and best of all, dessert!! Makes a perfect Cobbler Topping!! Great Food equals GREAT…

I have used Bisquick for years. I use it mainly for biscuits and pancakes. It's quick and easy and that's important to a working mom who still cooks a homemade dinner most nights of the week for her family. I don't use them for chicken and dumplings though because they seem to disolve. …
