I always know that homemade chocolate chip cookies will be a hit whether it's at home or to take to functions. It's just hard to beat chocolate chip cookies.
One time I took a batch to a Boy Scout dinner. Some little girl cried, because they were all gone when she went back for seconds. There were some store cookies, but she wanted the cookies in the red container - the homemade.
I like Nestle chips. They have a smooth taste and are never waxy like some brands. They also hold their shape well for baking.
Generally I use the semi-sweet in the cookies, but the milk chocolate are fine too. In something...
review »Ahhh, Nestle Tollhouse Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels, just the name conjures up sweet memories of delicious, wintry days. A truly mouth watering chocolate chip cookie just has to be made with Nestle Morsels. The true, natural, chocolate flavor is released in every bite. We have tried other brands--even more expensive ones, but we are forever returning to the original Tollhouse Morsels made by Nestle. So now, we will experiment no longer and stick with what we have proven to be the best: Nestle Morsels. So as the old jingle from my childhood still rings true: "N E S T L E S....Nestles...
review »Nestles Toll House cookies using Nestles morsels bring back childhood memories. In my opinion, there is no other chocolate cookie. Toll house is the best.
The chips have a wonderful flavor, not too sweet, not too bitter, and they hold their shape very well. The recipe on the back of the bag is what my family has used for years, and its amazing that no matter who makes this recipe, the taste is consistent.
I tend to like the light brown sugar, I know some who use the dark. I've tried both, but prefer the light, as it doesn't cover up the other flavors.
Try adding walnuts next time. Wonderful!
i HAVE USED THIS PRODUCT FOR YEARS AND NEVER DISAPPOINTED.
i USE THESE MORSELS IN BAKING COOKIES AND VARIOUS OTHER DESERTS THA T REQUIRE CHOCOLATE -
FOR RECIPIES THAT REQUIRE MELTED CHOCOLATE I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT A DOUBLE BOILER BE UTILIZED INSTEAD OF MELTING IN THE MICROWAVE OVEN - THERE SEEMS TO BE A LUMPY CONSISTENCY RESULTING OR TYPICAL DRYNESS WHEN MELTED - EITHER TOO LUMPY OR TOO DRY DO TO OVER HEATING - IT IS DIFFICULT TO =ESTIMATE THE TIME - I HAV E TRIED MANY TIMES AND NEVER SEEM TO GET IT RIGHT = MORE TIME WASTED THAN SAVED - USE THE OLD FASHIONED METHOD - FOOL PROOF.
I've been using their chocolate chip cookie recipe on their chocolate morsels bag for years. It's the best recipe I've used.
