I have bought this for years and find it really makes one pot crock meals fast and easy! I use 1/2 a packet in the crockpot with the roast and a bit of wine- and let it simmer for 10 hours - melt in your mouth goodness! — I often use the rest of that packet (about 1/2) to make a dip by mixing it with a 8 oz container of sour cream.   It makes it nice to have a quick snack with a dip in the fridge to grab quick for kids when they come home from school. — This also is a great base for starting soups - beef soup is made better with a packet of this and quicker too. What I love most about this Onion soup mix is how much you can do with it.  The packets are so easy to use and add so much flavor to any food.  I use it a lot to season vegetables and potatoes, but it also is great in creamy spinach dip.  There are so many uses and it even makes a great soup when used as directed.  The package features an amazing array of recipes from veggies to meat dishes and works great for appetizers.  I love the flavor of this mix, because it is zesty with just the right amount of spice and then flavored with the sweet onion.  Soups are easy… read full review »

I've found so many uses for Lipton Onion Soup Mix.   My favorite though is to add it to my meatloaf.   I can just mix it in with all my other ingredients & bake it.  Though, I guess I shouldn't say "bake" as I do my meatloafs in a slow cooker.  If you have never tried this, try it just once & you won't go back to the oven.  I pop mine in the slow cooker & let it cook all day.  It comes out so very moist & tasty.  After doing this for months, I read where someone had sent it in as a tip to a ladies magazine.    Anyway, the Onion Soup… read full review »

I must say I have used lipton onion soup mix for just about everything, except maybe an actual onion soup.  It is great in meatloafs, vegetable soups, beef stews anything can be flavored with this product. Roasting potatoes coated in the mix is especilly good and very easy to make. — I don't have all the time in the world to cook and I like that this product is so versitile and easy. I use this in almost anything I want when I have it in the house. — Mainly, dips for Ruffles. Those are the best chips to eat with onion dip. I love the salty part. — I sometimes use 2 packs for 1 recipe, because I love the onions part, and the beef stock is really salty, so for those days when I actually give in to eat chips and dip on purpose, this is the best one ever. I am constantly buying box after box of Lipton's Onion Soup Mix. I mix it with sour cream and chives to make an awesome dip. I sprinkle it over rice and chicken before I put it into the oven to bake- the soup mix makes the chicken a lovely brown color. I toss some with chopped potatoes before roasting. I've rubbbed it on steaks before. I've even once actually made soup with it...but I prefer to use it as more of a spice. I love that I can use this mix in a variety of recipes. I have a nice size family of all ages. Everyone is very picky. I use Lipton Onion Soup Mix in almost everything I cook.My spaghetti is just outstanding according to the crew. It is the easiest meal I make and the onion mix just makes it even better. I use this mix in my chilli and even my veg. soup. I really like to use Lipton Onion Soup Mix in meatloaf and to make stuffed bell peppers. My son wouldn't even eat meatloaf until I followed the recipe on the box! I know allot of people don't like meatloaf anyway, but I always have - since I was a kid. I read some of the other reviews and want to try the one with round steak in the crock pot. I love Lipton Onion Recipe Soup & Dip Mix! My mother has always used this for dips , roasts and her roundsteak in the crockpot. I now use this for my family. Last night we had roundsteak for dinner after being in the crockpot all day, it was very tender.
