I found a little something to make it even better

5

I love this rice cooker! I did have a few problems with rice sticking in the bottom but found if I wipe the bottom and lower third with a bit of olive oil that problem vanishes. AND it always helps to follow the directions and use the proper amount of water. I was always for just throwing it all in together and not really measuring. Shame on me! Design The only thing that's somewhat annoying is, when the cooker really gets going, it splatters hot kinda gummy water out the steam vent and around the edges of the lid. I usually just throw a paper or cloth towel on it.

Love My Aroma Rice Cooker!

I am the proud owner of an Aroma ARC-730G 20 cup rice cooker. It also has a steamer basket for meats, veggies, and other items. The cooker has a mode for white rice, a mode for brown rice, a steaming mode, and even a "cook, then simmer" option. Get this: with the cook and simmer option, you can put rice and butter, or oil, and meats, and seasonings in the rice cooker, brown them in the cooker, THEN add the liquid and cook the rice. Crazy! I can't wait to make some jumbalaya or paella in this badboy! I have already made tons of different rices: jasmine, basmati, brown, jasmine brown, wild, and a rice medley of all kinds of different rice (from Fresh & Easy if anyone is wondering). And ALL of it has turned out perfectly. Delicious, fluffy, wonderfully cooked rice is what I've become accustomed to from my Aroma. This isn't a problem per se.... But it has spoiled me forever. I can never eat that garbage rice out of box again. This was the way rice was meant to be! The next meal I'm making in my rice cooker is a delicious spanish rice, while using the steamer basket for some vegetarian tamales... Yum!

Rice on the bottom is just as fluffy as the top!

Hello, I am something of a rice fanatic. I try to avoid pasta and bread, and I'm familiar with many varieties of rice, from Arborrio, to Basmati, Jasmine, and Wild rice, which isn't rice at all. This means I have also owned many brands of rice cookers over the years. By far this is my favorite rice cooker. Rice on the bottom of the pan is just as fluffy as rice on the top. It does not dry out, The glass lid is a better fit. You would never think this is a budget cooker! Some brands start burning the rice, or undercooking it. Or the brand works only with one grain size. Not so with this one. the design could be more attractive. It looks 1970-ish. The consistency and quality of the rice make it worth overlooking the lack of eye appeal. There are more complicated brands out there, and prettier brands out there, but I have found this makes the best tasting rice. It also cooks mac and cheese or ramen, like the pricey brands, without the big price tag.
