Awesome!

I used this computer in college and it is the best to work on sp. for graphic designers. Its not slow and you wont have to worry about your computer showing a blank blue screen like an awful PC. the design is sleek, performance is more than incredible. If you buy this computer youre automatically guaranteed that you dont have to update to another computer after 2 yrs like a usual PC.

I love my iMAc computer

Love it. No worry about viruses. It tells you if you are headed to a site that is not okay to use. We have always only had Apple computers. Our son has the laptop. Ease of Use our iMac is so easy to use. I am self taught. I do not know where the manual went. Today I wanted to see and hear an instruction manual on CD. I clicked on help and in 2 minutes I had figured out how to load and unload. Hardware Quality Very durable. The stand is balanced just right. Support & Service If we have a problem, it comes from the internet service we pay for. They answer 24/7. We also have a very fast service so we get alot done on the computers. Durability We have never had any problems with this iMac. It does not fall or tip. Design I like the narrow sides and the large screen on a pedestal that is sturdy. The computer tilts for easy see in different lighting situations. It does not fall over or tip. The height is just right for me. Performance the performance of all 7 Apple computers we have had, including the first available, has been excellent. Each one brought different things. We have never had any service calls. Our son put in an additional Mother board. We do not have to worry about viruses like the PC's do.

good computer

I purchased my 20 inch Imac computer in September 2008, after a close friend of mine who specializes in Macintosh computers highly recommended it to me. He said that in the long run it will break down less easily and less often, requiring less service in the future for me. As I am still very new to learning how to use computers both Apple and non- Apple, I thought the more user-friendly it was the better for me. For this reason, I thought it was worth the more expensive price I paid as compared to prices I would have spent on non-Apple computers at the time. So far, there are many features on the computer which I am still unfamiliar with, which is simply because I did not have the time to learn all the applications it can do. Of course, this is not the computer's fault-- the owner is just not that computer savvy yet to all the applications it can do. So far it works very well for my needs, which is just to check my e-mail daily and surf the net for both work and for fun. The one drawback I would say to having this Mac is that if it breaks down, it is hard to find an Apple repair center where i could bring it for troubleshooting, and the repairs would probably be expensive too.

MAC is the "best"

I have owned an iMac for over 5 years now. Never had a problem. Everything is seamless. Fixes itself when you run a utility check. Small learning curve when switching from windows. I will never own any thing else.

Best computer I've ever owned

5

Mac interfaces (os) are always ahead of everyone else, and are the best in my opinion - I find that all of their products have this in common - including this iMac. It's just that Apple's design has humans in mind and it comes the closest to what a human finds easy, intuitive and flowing. This machine operates smoothly, and the speed of every action was just impecable. NOTE: Once I updated the os to 10.6.6 (I think it originally shipped with 10.5 if I am not mistaken?), it was affected - slowed down a bit. So I would not recommend making the same unless you really have to.I purchased this machine for work, but as it happens that I work from home, I've been using it for entertainment purposes as well: watching Netflix, Hulu, any media and online streaming is just a mini movie theater screen in your home. The display colors and quality are amazing - I just have not owned, seen or used a PC that has ever achieved the same quality as the iMac. I am a huge fan and would recommend this purchase to anyone who can afford spending a bit more on a computer. Also, I have to note that despite the fact that there are PCs that can run design software, and creative suites in general, macs have something - as I attempted to describe before regarding their interfaces - that adds a little magic to the creative process, whereas PCs just take away from it. I know it sounds crazy, but I strongly believe there is something there. So if you want to design, do video or sound editing, anything creative, I would also recommend the additional incremental cost to get one of these as opposed to a PC. Small issue with this machine: quitting all applications from the main menu will usually not work if you have a lot of applications running. You will more likely have to manually quit out almost out of every program before shutting down or restarting.

Love the sleek, compact design!

5

The Apple iMac is a great machine! As claimed, when you plug it in, it just works. Gone is the awkward, bulky tower that takes up your desk or floor space. The sleek, compact design of the iMac takes up minimal space and still is able to offer superior performance to it's PC counterparts. The machine is well built and doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. Gone, also, is the blue screen of death that every PC user secretly dreads as they go about their computer tasks. If, and this is rarely, the iMac gets stuck on something, you can just leave it on it's own to do it's thing and it works through it itself. The high quality display is great for both creating and viewing graphics. Probably one of the key features to me is that I can surf the web, read emails and just use my computer without worrying about viruses. The quality, the peace of mind and the support of AppleCare makes it worth every penny that I paid.

Great Machine, worth every cent.

I have had this machine for several years now and I have had no problems at all. this machine does everything that I need it to do, edit video, edit photos, play High-Def video, anything. I love this computer and I would defiantly 100% recommend this computer to my friends and anyone that is looking for a computer. I primarily use this computer for a lot of audio editing and video editing and when ever I go to render or save a file, it doesn't even flinch when doing so. when buying a Mac, it will be the best experience you have ever gone through when buying a computer. macs don't come with bloatware, or software demos that the manufacturer installs, so when you start the computer for the first time it just works, right out of the box. As stated earlier, I have experienced no problems with this computer, none at all. it has worked for over two years straight now, and it runs the latest operating (10.6) system perfectly. Must Buy 9/10.

iMac Intel Core Duo 5 years and still going strong

5

After having owned what seemed like every other brand of computer on the market at the time, each of which caused me no end of problems from viruses to crashes to you name it, I splurged and bought a refurbished iMac 4,1 Intel Core Duo Processor Type, 2 GHz Processor Speed, 2 MB Processor Cache, 1 GB Memory,  667MHz Bus Speed, from the Apple store. Now this was not a top of the line model when I bough it, but it was what I felt I could afford and more then enough of a computer for my needs. And boy has it ever payed off after five and a half years of continues usage with no problems at all, I mean none which seems like a miracle to me, its still going strong. Apple has definitely made a convert out of me I will never buy a non Apple computer again. So if your feeling that Mac's are just to much of a computer for your needs or that it cost to much please take into consideration all of the time and money that you will save not having to constantly have your computer repaired.

Best purchase I ever made.

5

This is the first Apple product I ever bought and it was the best decision I ever made.  For PC users there is a period of adjustment that all new users must go through but depending on your usage it will take a week or two.  But after that you realize that iMac's are the best.  First, all I can say is that they just work.  I have owned my Mac for about 5 years now and I don't have to do any regular maintenance.  There are no more headaches with the computer.  In fact, I used to get frustrated with the Mac when I thought there was more I needed to do but the Mac was already doing it for me.  Such as when I tried to unzip a file that the Mac had already done once I downloaded the file.  Next they look good.  What more can you say than the design just blows PCs out of the water.  They are also built to last.  As I said, mine is over 5 years old now but still has 2-3 years of life left.  And to think when I bought this it was the bottom of the line Mac available.  I would and do recommend this product to everyone.

I-Mac 20" first Intel based, Wonderful computer!

I have to say I fist I am not a real good computer peson. My husband teases me and says that I have bad Computer Karma :o) And the next thing is I am a PC lover not a Mac lover. Or should I say I was a pc lover:o) Many years ago when the first Intel Mac came out my husband desided that we were goignt o get it. We have had Pc's all long and he had had one laptop Mac. But now he thought that we need to change because Mac are so much better after his thinking.  Well I did not agree so when he brought this I-Mac home I was not a happy camper but he had done somthing nice for me he had loaded it with Parrallels where I could run Windows XP. Ok... for nine months I NEVER used the Mas side of the computer. But then one day I thought I have to try it, it might not be that hard to learn. And you know what I did and it was easy after a few weeks and I LOVE it. Am I a PC lover now. NO..... I am a Mac LOVER. I have since then only used PC's when I had no other choice! I love my Mac's they are AWESOME!!
