the best super computer

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I've always been a PC user and never even considered going to MAC, however, the power and speed of this machine, better yet, it deserves a better epithet: this monstrosity of a computer blew me out of the water as well as all the pcs i have ever own in my life time! The stock features are ample enough to run my everyday applications like final cut, word, and safari. The start up time of the OS (leopard) was very fast and i never had to wait. Installing apps was a zinch as well as uninstalling them. I noticed that after I leave it on for a while, the computer does increase the temperature of the room as i noticed it getting warmer. That could potentially be hazardous if i do extreme gami...

Was a PC fan,new to Mac... Love it!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have always been a PC user since I started using computers in the late 1990's.

In February, I decided to buy a Mac Pro desktop to see what the big deal was. Setup was extremely simple and it runs excellent.

I found my learning curve, from Windows to Mac, to be a minimal effort. Layout and closing screens is a little different, but easy to overcome.

The case is solid, thick aluminum. Very sturdy, but a little on the heavy side.

Adding components like RAM or an extra hard drive is very easy. Open up the side and they plug right in with no wires or screws to deal with.

Software that comes standard on Mac is amazing. No need to pay extra for basic needs or even the cool stuff.

Website creator, Garage band, iMovie. It is extremly easy to use.

I have 4 other PC's that I never use anymore.

Serious computing power requires a serious computer.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I love the recent Microsoft commercial with the little girl uploading pictures of her fish, Dorothy. She's adorable, and smart- she can upload a picture, make it look better, and email it to her family. The commercial ends with the little girl saying, "I'm a PC, and I'm four and a half." And I've got to give credit where credit is due. PCs are really great for uploading photos and emailing them to your friends. And they're even better if you need a cheap computer that you won't be afraid to let your four and a half year old use.

Contrary to what Microsoft would have you believe, with a Mac you don't just pay for the style. It's not reserved for kids who are cool enough to be in t...

The Mac Pro is the best desktop for doing...anything

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have MacPro- 2 dual-core Xeon 2.66 MHz, 4 GB Ram, 250 GB HD.I have had for about 3 months and have not wanted to go back to a PC or Windows. It's truely easy to use and awesome performance. It was a little costly, especially getting the 23" CinemaView HD monitor, but I don't plan on having to upgrade for quite a few years. Yet, it offers the expandability if needed. It is definitely manufactured with very haigh quality. Even the package is simple, yet extremely effective.I'm still running Tiger but will be taking advantage of Leopard very soon. I also like the idea that , should I ever need to, load Windows XP or Vista on this machine, I can and it will be the best PC out there for running them.

The I-Mac is a powerhouse and looks awesome too.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The IMac is a powerhouse that looks awesome too. With the huge screen and great and slim footprint it is the ideal home computer.

All of my systems run great, I can run any software application with ease, and the only time I've had it freeze on me is when I had tons of windows open (I'm talking 20 or more windows.) I use my computer for internet, e-mail, gaming, writing, photo editing, digital scrapbooking, schooling, recipe storage and much, much more.

I love the large screen for viewing movies and watching on-line tv episodes. I can see it from clear across the room.

I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this computer. No pop ups, no annoying virus's (I have had none anyway)...

it sucks.

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

I DON'T LIKE THIS MAC. FOR ONE THING I AM A PC USER AND THIS IS HARDER TO GET USED TO. ALSO, IT IS NOT AS QUICK AS AN INTEL SYSTEM. IF I HAD MY PREFERENCE, I WOULD OWN A DELL OR A HEWLETT-PACKARD. ALSO, THE SOUND QUALITY IS NOT NEARLY AS GOOD AS THE PC. I WOULD ALSO RATHER A LAPTOP COMPUTER AS IT IS MORE CONVENIENT AND A PERSON COULD TAKE IT ANYWHERE. FOR MY MONEY, THE PERSONAL COMPUTER IS MORE MY STYLE AND IS MUCH MORE EFFICIENT.

I AM ONLY USING THIS COMPUTER BECAUSE I CANNOT AFFORD ONE AT THIS TIME AND IT IS ALL WE HAVE. STILL. IT IS BETTER THAN NOTHING AT ALL. BUT! I WOULD NOT GO OUT AND PURCHASE ONE IF I HAD MY CHOICE.

I THINK A DELL IS THE MOST TRUSTWORTHY AND DEPENDABLE COMPUTER ON THE MARKET. THEY HAVE A BETTER SUPPORT GROUP AND ARE EASILY ACCSESSIBLE IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. THEY ARE ALSO MORE POPULAR THAN MOST COMPUTERS AND I WOULD RATHER GO WITH SOMETHING TRIED AND TRUE THAN FOR SOMETHING I HAVE NO FAITH IN.I DON'T LIKE AN APPLE COMPUTER...PRETTY SIMPLE I THINK.

I like the Apple Mac OS X; though there is much I need to learn.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

This is my first experience using any type of Mac equipment.  Using the Mac OS X has been an interesting experience.  Like with any other new equipment, it will take time for me to get to know all the benefits of using a Mac.  What makes it most appealing is the fact the Apple offers classes on using their equipment; even though, they offer on-line services also.  I have not taken advantage of the classes that Apples offers.  If your use a PC, you can figure out the basis functions of the Word, Excel and the email system.  The only thing I have not yet figured out how to duplicate the function of highlighting some information and right clicking to cut, paste, or copy the same way I am able to do on a PC.  On the Mac, no matter what window you are working in you have to always go back to the top menu bar in order to perform any type of edits.  Hopefully as I continue to use the Mac OS X, I am sure I will find the same shortcuts I was able to perform on a PC.

Greatest Machine Ever

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

How do I describe my Mac,  well I've had it now for two years and I can't say enough about it's performance or the added features I wanted on a computer.  I was a PC person for many years than decided to go back to school and become a graphic designer.  My work in printing had given me a look into that world and always asked our designers what machine they preferred to work on.  Well, it wasn't a very hard choice for them...MAC of course.

When I started school I thought it would be difficult to learn the opposite of my PC, I mean it basically is reversed, the Mac that is, from a PC and it took awhile to get the hang of it.  As I learned more about it's capabi...

The Apple Mac OS X desktop computer is the best one around.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I am a person who only uses computers for personal usage. I am also a person who is not very versed in the ways of technology. My husband, on the other hand, needs a computer that he is able to use for business and pleasure. I think the Apple Mac OS X desktop computer brings the best of both worlds into one computer. While I can get one and quickly navigate to the site or program I need to, my husband is able to make spreadsheets and do calculations with it as well. We use the Apple Mac OS X desktop computer to organize our life and make things easier on ourselves as well. We are able to put programs on here, such as iBank, that help us keep control of spending habits and see where our money...

Apple Computers are #1 !!!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The Apple Mac Book Pro Desktop Computer is the best computer out there as far as I am concerned! We have had absolutely NO problems with ours in the year we have had it; I have owned several other computers before this one, and none of them ever held up well at all and seemed to develop a lot of problems over time. My friends and co-workers all raved about Apple computers, and so I decided to give it a try, but I have to admit I was rather skeptical until I  I  finally gave in and purchased one of my own. I actually think all MAcs are great now, but the Apple MAC Book Pro Desktop Computer is the one I own and I love it. We did have difficulty downloading some software we wanted to put on it, so I called customer service, and they were the most helpful ever - they helped fix the problem right away. I thought it would be difficult to learn to operate, but after a few days, I was very comfortable using it and now I will never go back to a PC!

The best computer money can buy

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This computer is the only computer that is worth buying.  It has every imaginable feature that you could ever want in a computer.  The clearness of the screen is great, you can adjust the brightness to an appropriate level (which some other computers do not have), and learn how to use every task this unit has to offer.  Have great fun with garage band.  Transport your pictures to the Iphoto link, and create slide shows to create memories that last forever.  If your computer challenged, like I am, than do not worry this computer teaches its users everything that you need to know to properly work this fantastic machine.  Furthermore, this computer is the fastest p...

Apple Mac Pro desktop computer

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

It was almost a five star, my only complaint with the Apple Mac Pro desktop computer is the fact that it there is no way to have dual monitors with the system with a non OEM graphic card. You can however spend $200 more for an accessory from Altona (Dvi To Mini Displayport Adapter Atlona Dual Link.) I had to get two of these to plug in to my NVidia graphics card, wish apple would have stated this on their site. Once I got this second accessory the computer worked as it should and there were no other problems. I would recommend to other designers and artists to consider the cost of monitors at + $200 of list price as you will need this if you have an upgraded graphics card. Overall system performance and usability of this system is phenomenal.

Best security around

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We bought our latest Apple MAC OS X in January 2007. It's our third MAC in 22 years of marriage. We keep them for a while, add memory and go on. We don't have to have all the latest of the latest. The Apple MAC OS X is so compact with a thin screen and no tower hard drive that you barely notice it. The keyboard is very basic but very comfortable to use. It's the second one we've been through though because we spilled water on the first. We bought the extended warranty which paid for it but has also been very worth it because we get the constant updates in security, software, etc. We'll probably reup that once it deadlines. The security on the MAC can't be beat. We don't have to buy any ...

Great!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

Well..I had a meltdown of my G4 Mirrored Drive Door ..the power supply failed after 5-6 years..so..time to up grade. So I did. I figured I'd go for the top..could have chosen a referb older model or something , but as Apple has no other new, upgradeable computer than the Mac Pro (good biz , I guess..) I needed this one, as I wanted to put my old drives in the new. Of course this computer will only accept SATA or something else drives..not the older ones..like I have. I had four drives in the G4 , only one will work in the Mac pro! Don't be a dummy like me ..DO YOUR HOMEWORK FIRST!! I found ALOT of my programs will not work on this new oh wow computer. AND my scanner is not supported either.....

Once you go Mac, you never go back

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have been a Mac user for over a year.  There is a misperception that Macs are not compatible with PC, but they are.  In fact, Macs are easier to use than PCs.  Prior to buying my Mac I was shopping around.  At first glance the Macs appear to be more expensive, but when you think of how it is ready to go from the moment you plug it in, it really isn't all that more expensive than a PC.  With a PC you have to buy additional software such as virus protection that you cannot go without if you want to make sure your computer stay sound.  I also found in a rare situation when you are confused about your Mac you can easily find information or get hassle free help fro...
