This is a great fan if you have a workout room. In fact, I first saw the fan at the gym I go to. It has three speeds and can be set to oscillate as well as having a timer function. Finally, it has a remote control which really gets a lot of work at my house as I can turn the fan on or change the speed with the remote without leaving whatever workout machine I am on. It is tall, but it is a very sleek looking fan that could be left out in any room in the house without really taking away from the decor. It is a little more than one might want to spend for a house fan, but you can usually find it at one of the warehouse stores for a decent price. However, even if you have to pay a little more for it, it is well worth the price. And, while this is not an issue in the gym as noise is not an issue, it is a very quite fan, but quieter at the lower speeds than at the higher speeds. Best of all, it does a great job of cooling the room and the people in it. Also it has an easy hand grip allowing you to move it easily.

I really like this blower fan.  I even recommended it to my mom and she also bought..she said she liked it too.  It's a tower shape so it doesn't take up a lot of space.  I  don't know exactly how it works but it cools the air very nicely. By the push of a button you can make it oscillate.  It has a thingy to control the flow of air (upward, downward, or straight).  I guess the only thing that could bother some people is that it's a bit noisy...not too much for me, but some people are too sensitive to noise.  Actually that noise makes ME  sleep good.  Other than that... I really like this blower fan.  Actually I was going to buy another one in summer but the 2 times I checked the store they didn't have any.  I do recommend this blower fan.   thanks..

With summer beating down on us is someplaces and the temperatures rising by the minute, it's unfortunate that many of us don't have air-conditioning (or one that works properly...like ourselves), so we're forced to do it the old-fashioned way. And while I would love to love my **Lasko Tower Fan**, I really just cannot, and for many reasons at that. First and foremost, this is not your inconspicious little fan that can be neatly and safely tucked into a corner or a window without everyone noticing, so don't even try or hope. This fan is large, tall, and clunky, and terribly noisy, so noisy it's hard to stay in a room for more than ten minutes with this running. Even behind a closed door, you can still hear this fan working slightly, and if you don't believe me, just wait and see. This is not something comfortable to have running on hot, muggy nights, because you'll wait up in the morning feeling as if you had cotton stuffed into your ears. Literally. Also, this does not provide the cooling or relieving air circulation I look for in a fan. While I don't necessairly want a fan to technically cool down my room, it is nice to have air movement so that you don't feel stale and breathless. And for the size of this fan, you would think it would have the maximum amount of cooling possible, but it doesn't. Not at all, not one bit. The only time it helps is if you start it blowing in cool of the morning, and not later on in the day once it is already hot - it'll just move the air around without really doing much to alleviate the heat or make it easier on your lungs. This is also not the easiest to move or to store, and while it is lightweight, it's just clunky and unattractive and only good for large, open rooms where you can put it somewhere out of your walking path. Because of the noise-level, we bought a smaller, oscillating fan that is much quieter (by a thousand leagues!) and easier to manage, plus it's much more attractive and easier to store.

We have bought 2 of the Lasko 4924 Tower fans over the past 3 years. These fans really more the air through your house. This model is attractive looking and really looks modern. Your have 3 speeds the fan operates and the high speed is a litle bit much as it will blow any loose items like shets of paper around in the room it is directed to. The remote works well and you can completely operate the fan from your chair. The problem with the 2 fans that we bought is the only lasted about a year or 2 before we started having problems. The first fan that we bought stopped osocilating afater about a year and a half and started making more fan noise so we had to operate it at the lower speed. The second fan worked well for about a year and a half before it started to have problems. The fan started making strange noises like something was about fly apart. We have gotten rid of both of these fans and do not plan to buy another one of this model of Lasko fans. There is not way to clean these fans. I would not reccmmend this fan.

we ought this fan 2 months ago and found it very nice .it is noise free..very safe for y 2 year old daughter,she cannot put her fingers through and portable and holds very less space...i also bought one for my mother in law..i recommend to all who want to buy...only one problem with it cleaning it...

this looks like a good product because it wouldnt take up all the room. like most fans would it should have many speeds to. i think it would pay for itself with money and space around the house. you would have to clean the dust off of the fan especially if you have dogs.

The lasko tower fan is a great tool to have if you enjoy a breeze. Although not overpowering by any means, this tower can create a steady and refreshing breeze in any size room. It is surprisingly quiet and portable which aids in its usefulness. I would give it a 9/10.

This fan is awesome! We used this inside the daycare and would slip it in the tiny space we had betweent the baby beds! We felt safe that it wouldnt be int he way of the children and if they did reach it, it would be safe for them! It was quiet so it didnt wake the children up also!  I would use this fan anywhere! It really cooled the place off when we needed it to! This is a must have fan! Pretty cute to! I would recommend this fan for anyone and everyone that is looking for a nice small sleek fan to cool the place off!
