This tower puts out excellent heat and conveniently fits into a corner when not needed. I am especially impressed at the ease of picking up the remote control to use to set the temperatures. Once reached - the tower will cut off until the temperature falls below the setting again. The quiet motor is also a highlighted feature. Don't really hear kick in at all when it comes on! Thank you for thinking through all of the major issues associated with this quality product! The attractiveness is what originally drew me to this particular design. I like the tall black slender look of the heater! Also "men" like their remote controls for sports -- this remote control keeps me WARM!!! Air Flow Air flow is extremely adequate - and quiet also! Ease of Use Really appreciate the remote control! Durability Accidents are inevitable! I have stepped back and knocked over my heater. It took the 'lickin and kept a'tickin! Very pleased with the durability. Design Extremely attractive item - the "looks" is why I originally purchased it. GREAT quality also!

I have found that this is the one thing that helps me sleep at night. The soft rattling can be seen as a con, but I find it soothing in a way. Also, it makes me just cold enough to want to cuddle in blankets, but not so cold that I wake up with a stuffy nose and a cough. It is also very convenient because its a vertical fan so that it can sit on my floor right next to my bed and still reach me, but also is stored very easily because it doesn't take up a lot of floor space and can just be shoved away in the corner of my room in the winter. Durability This is a pretty durable fan. When I first got it, it was as quiet as a mouse. I couldn't hear a thing, sometimes I would have to put my hand in front of it to tell if I actually plugged it in or not when I first switch it on. It gets a little rattly over time but that might just be mine, there might be a little piece of something stuck inside the blades. Either way, it is prime for about a year and then starts to lose its quality, but not enough to defer me from buying it again.

I am very happy with this fan. It has cooled my room down more then any other fan I have bought. I live in Arizona and get over heated easy. This has worked well for the past three months. Air Flow Blows with out slowing down or clogging with dust. Design Love the tower it can fit on any small surface

As any middle age woman knows it is a must to have a fan in the bedroom, at least for me it is! Truthfully I have always loved having moving air and a quiet hum at night while I sleep, my husband on the other hand strongly disagrees. We were at battle for many years and on many stuffy nights slept in separate rooms until I found this Holmes HT38U Tower Fan. I had heard people commenting on the tower fans but I couldn't grasp the reality of a small narrow tower being able to put out the air that I would require for comfort. Holmes was offering a nice rebate and the price was right. I was able to set it on my side of the bed and adjust the settings to oscillate only on my side of the room. The air flow area was much larger and spread out than the usual round bladded fans and kept me very comfortable. It was quiet enough to no bother my husband and offered several different settings for airflow. It was a trooper! I kept it running day and night for a year and a half until it finally stopped working, I can truly say I got my moneys worth. I am currently looking for a new Holmes HT38U Tower Fan to replace it as well as another one for in the corner of my cubical at work.

having an apartment means limited space, but i also want it to look nice and organized. i didnt want some ugly bulky fan to take up too much space. i saw a tower fan at my friends apartment and thought it looked sleek and fit into the small available space. this fan is great for those days that arent too hot where you would need to turn on the air conditioner but also want a fresh breeze. i keep this in my bedroom and keep it on spin when i sleep. it isnt loud and works great. i got this on sale at target and i think you can get it from pretty much any other place such as bed bath and beyond or walmart. this was a great purchase and i've had it for a while and intend to get another for the other main room.

I seem to have bad luck when it comes to fans.  The first tower fan we bought worked well at first them majorly declined with the blade hitting against the frame (at least that is what I assumed the sound was). The second broke about 2 1/2 weeks after purchase... right after I threw the receipt away.  This one has been wonderful.  It is not very loud but has a really good breeze.  The remote is a really nice feature for hot days when you can't bring yourself to get off the couch to turn it up or down, haha!  The structure feels very sturdy unlike the fans I have had in the past that fall over at the slightest bump.  But, I have to say I am not crazy about the beeping.  It beeps when you turn it on or up to the next level.  And the beep when you turn it off could be a little less loud and long.  It is quite piercing.  But overall I have to say I love it.  It keeps us cool on hot days with minimal noise.
