I have used this Hewlett Packard photosmart printer for about 3 years.  I am very happy with my photo printer.  I usually print 4 x 5 photos, but occassionaly print a larger photo including 5 x 7 and 8 x 10.  The printer takes 3 ink cartridges which are quite expensive.  The cost of the ink is the only drawback of this printer.   The quality of the prints in quite nice.  I typically use the HP photo paper as well, but have on occassion used other photo paper and the printer works well with all types of photo paper.  We also use this printer as our family printer for all regular paper printing.  The setup was easy and worked basically right out of the box, just follow the directions for setup and installation.  We have been using this printer daily for several years now and have not had any maintenance issues, it continues to work as advertised.  I would reccomend this to a friend as I have found that it is reliable and good quality.

I am one of those self proclaimed , self taught, "photographer".  I have so many pictures taken over my lifetime of love of cameras.  However, I LOVE digital.  My peeve was finding an affordable printer that would do a good job and not take a degree to operate. This is my baby.  I print out all my photography jobs on it.  It will print 4x6 , and passport size among others.  You can print right off your card, no need to load them up , you can even edit them on the printer.  All the ink is individual and pops right in, no mess.
