This printer is perfect for keeping in your home, or even office. It's a really good price and does the job. Of course, it will never print out giant posters, but for homework, flyers, and other things like that, it's perfect. The ink seems to last quite a while also. The set up for this printer is really easy. Performance I have yet to have a paper jam or any other issues with this printer. It's quick, which is always a really good thing. Copy Quality It could definitely be better, but for the price you're paying for it, it's worth every penny. Ink/Paper Use I haven't had any issues with this. The ink cartrages seem to last quite a while. I think I've printed 100 sheets and only had to change the ink once, around page 90 (I was printing out a copy of a story I've been working on). Ease of Use From the moment you open it up from the box, the sheet of instructions are clear, in plain English, and super helpful. However, I didn't really need them since it was all pretty straight forward anyways. Durability I've owned this for quite a while now and it still works like new and I have definitely printed over 500 sheets of paper. Design It's pretty basic, easy to move from room-to-room (though I'm not sure why you would), folds up nicely to clear up some space, but it doesn't really take up much space at all. Perfect for a desk.

I am an extreme couponer and I use this printer every single day. I set it so it only prints black and I print away. It's fast for a cheap printer!! Performance It works GREAT for a printer on the cheaper side of printers! Copy Quality I don't ever have much trouble. Sometimes when I first put a new cartridge in it prints a little heavier and it's hard for cashiers to scan the coupons I print. Ink/Paper Use The ink gets expensive but I buy re-manufactured and it lasts much longer and saves a ton of money. Ease of Use Very simple and easy to use!! Durability Like I said earlier I use this printer everyday and it works great. Design It's designed for simple quick jobs!!

I needed an extra printer for our house to cope with a higher demand in grocery coupons I print. I also needed it to be a good quality printer that produced an excellent quality in the coupons I print. (Apparently the grocery supermarkets are less likely to accept coupons of a poor quality). I surveyed the supermarket shelves for printing ink before deciding which printer to get and was surprised to find out that you could buy this printer from a well known strore (including both ink cartridges) for slightly less than the price of a box of colored and black ink refills - AND BOTH INKS WERE ALREADY INSIDE THE BOX! With this in mind I was hugely doubtful that this little printer could perform it's duties - how wrong I was! Since I purchased it a few months ago I have been able to print coupons galore without any trace of a problem. Not only that but I purchased a spare colored and black ink refill and have still not had to use them. Let me just reiterate; I got this printer, a black ink cartridge and a colored ink cartridge for less than the price of the two cartridges!

I got this printer as a gift last year for Christmas and I must say I have been really impressed with it! It is a VERY basic printer, but the quality of prints have exceeded my expectation. I use it mostly for printing coupons but the ink seems to last longer than the other more expensive printers I have in the house. The printer is energy star, which is nice because I keep it running all day and night without having to worry about consuming a lot of electricity. As a side note, I have however found that many places that do ink cartridge refills do not fill the basic catridges that this printer requires. When filling by myself though I have had no trouble with the printer recognizing them as full and unlike other printers I have had it will still printer high quality images with a refill. it's not the most durable printer out there, but you get what you pay for. For simple jobs, printing school documents, coupons, etc this printer will far exceed what you expect for the small price you will pay

This printer is very good for everyday home use, and possibly even for a small home business. There are no frills when it comes to this printer model, but it is certainly reliable and gets the job done. It is very reasonably priced compared to other printer brands, and the ink that it requires also is not a bank-breaker. The print speed is okay, and the print quality is pretty good as well. Overall, I would recommend this printer. Performance This printer performs well, better than I was expecting for the low price tag that it comes with. Not the fastest printer in the world, but I don't find myself waiting for an extended period of time when printing multi-page documents. Copy Quality Prints well, not professional print quality, but no complaints for everyday use. Ink/Paper Use This printer is pretty good on ink consumption, I feel like the ink for this printer lasts longer than previous printers I have owned. Also, the ink is priced much more reasonably, so I don't find myself completely dreading when it's time to replace the inks. Ease of Use This printer is plug-and-print practically from day one. Once connected to your computer with an HDMI cable for the first time, your computer system identifies the new device and it is easily installed from there. After the intial set up, you can literally plus in the cable and print as needed, with no waiting time. Super convenient! Durability This printer has .asted me over 2 years without any issues, and I have a toddler that likes to play around with it, so that's saying something. Design The design is nothing fancy, but when it's not in use and the trays are folded up it is rather compact so it takes up way less space than other printers I have had.

I've owned several different brands of inkjet printers and so far I'm most impressed by this one. I'll definitely purchase HP again when this printer's time is up. Performance The Deskjet 1000 puts out clear copies fast with only one minor hangup: it does not grab heavier grade paper very well. You have to manually feed each sheet the heavier the grade. Copy Quality i have yet to see the disappearing ink effect with this printer that I have seen with previous printers when they start getting low on ink, not even on the fast draft setting. Ink/Paper Use The cartridge life on ink that goes with this printer is impressive, much better than with previously owned inkjets. The paper feeder could have finer control, but that is a minor irritation. Ease of Use This printer is super easy to unbox and the CD to pair it with my computer made everything the next best thing to plug and play. The only problem I've had with it is that paper feeder. I like a little heavier grade of paper than the printer wants to handle and that means manual feeding per sheet to keep my print job from erroring out. Durability This printer has held up pretty well over the past year. The print feed problem does seem to be getting gradually more pronounced, but it's a problem I can put up with at this price point. Design Again, my only quibble with the design is the print feed. In every other way this printer's design is excellent.

The HP Deskjet 1000C is far and away the best printer I have ever owned.  I do a tremendous amount of printing.  This printer has proven to be a workhorse.  The print cartridges are a little pricy, but they last a long time and can easily be refilled vs. buying new cartridges.  This printer can be manually fed or work with the sheet feeder.  This is the only printer I have ever found that prints pages that are 11" x 17".  It is great for newsletters.  It rarely has paper jams, and they are easily cleared when they do occur.  It also has a feeder for envelopes in a number of sizes, and easily accommodates up to 30 envelopes at a time.  It is easy to adjust the sheet feeder for different sizes of paper.  It is also easy to manually feed specialty papers and very heavy cardstock.  It is dependable and reliable.  I have no problem queing something to print 50 copies and leaving the printer unattended.  I have actually gone to lunch while it is printing and come back to find my printing completed without problems.  I love this printer!
