An Easy Way to Keep Your Gardens Watered!

5

For Mother's Day my husband enlarged my kitchen garden and tilled another three areas  for  herb gardens.  I now have four gardens to manage not including our butterfly garden.  With so many I always forget to water at least one of them.  Not to have his hard work go to seed he purchased me a **Green Thumb 50', Soil Soaker Hose!  **The **Green Thumb 50', Soil Soaker Hose **is durable, easy to use and as a environmentally conscience gardener its made from recycled rubber.  Now my gardens stay watered without lugging out the old hose and sprinkler nozzle that never seems to adjust to a spray that doesn't beat down my seedlings.   **Green Thumb 50', Soil Soaker Hose** distributes water evenly giving just enough so you'll never overwater your plants. **Green Thumb 50', Soil Soaker Hose **is an easy, simple watering system great for flower gardens, vegetable gardens and those out of the way newly planted shrubs that may need extra watering. Living in the south we've already had many over 80 degree days.  The  **Green Thumb 50', Soil Soaker Hose** keeps the soil moist.  I can already tell the difference in plant growth in my vegetable garden.   In my opinion,  **Green Thumb 50', Soil Soaker Hose **a great way to keep your gardens watered!   **Noteworthy:**  If you use pine bark shredded mulch I would recommend using pine nuggets if you plan on putting the hose underneath your mulch.  Shredded mulch has a tendency to block and redirect water flow.

I much prefer these weeping round soaker hoses to the old flat ones. The reason for this is that you know where the water is going when you set it out, because it just trickles out. With the flat ones, you had to set, then turn it on and see where the water was shooting, then adjust it, maybe put some rocks on it to make it behave, and then pray it didn't shift. I really like doing the soaker hose in one step. Soaker hoses in general, have a short life span. I've found that, if you are going to leave it out, you can extend its life by burying it under the mulch. I think it's a good soaker hose.

I got these for mothers day this year and have finally been able to use them. The weather just has not changes enough to feel like I can use them.  I received three of these and have them all attached to a short garden hose that is connected to my house. They are draped through my whole garden that surrounds my house. There are places in my garden that you can still see where they are but in thicker areas of my garden they are hidden in the plants. Once my garden grows a little more the hose will blend in perfectly. My last soaker hoses I had worked for me for over 5 years. After time they began to wear and create larger holes and they became not as effective. One downside to these is that the material they are made of is rather stinky. Do not keep these in your car or a small enclosed area before you are going to put them in your garden. They are pretty noxious and it is not fun to have to deal with the stink. Other than that little ordeal I LOVE my hoses. I recommend these to anyone with a small garden as well as to anyone with a larger garden.
