Ordered Burpee Heirloom Organic Certified Beefsteak tomatoes in February 2023, Started indoors and planted in June 2023. I didn't get Beefsteaks, what I got was a mishmash of Cherry Tomatoes, an Orange tomato variety, and small variety that wasn't a Beefsteak. It was as though somebody swept the floor and placed the seeds into a "Certified Organic" seed packet. I highly doubt these are Organic, let alone "Certified". Burpee would only refund the cost of the seeds and shipping...$10.00. I lost an entire growing season, and the usual 50+ jars of tomato sauce I typically put up. Never again!

I bought 30 packs of seeds this year and planted most of them. Some of the herbs did not grow well even though I tried to plant them in 4 different places including the garden. I was impressed with the beans and peas. Those grow very well. I also grew corn which is slow moving but it is growing steadily in the garden. One other seed pack that didn't work well was scallions. Next year I think I will try planting them in the shade as they do not seem to like the sun that much. Wish it said so on the package. Overall I love the taste of the veggies. I bought the following seeds - Broccoli - growing great Cauliflower - growing great Carrots - wonderful Italian, Kidney, Bush beans - awesome Peas - wish it told me on the package they needed support but doing well Scallions - poor Marigolds - great Phlox - never grew Chives - never grew Oregano - never grew Basil - small crop Parsley - grew once then died Corn - 3 types - growing great Spinach - wonderful and tastes great Butter crunch lettuce - they grow fast and taste great Little ceaser lettuce - a little more bitter but grew fast Next year I'm going to try some squash and melon. I have the seed packs but didn't space out enough to plant them. I would definitly buy from Burpee again but I will stay away from the flowers and herbs.

Ordered a lot of seeds this year from Burpee. Low germination rate and poor quality plants for an expensice price. Some packets actually had NO SEEDS in the packet (said machine packs the seeds and sometimes sealed without seeds in them!) other packets had a few in them! "Live" plants very expensive and arrived DEAD and no replacements for them now. Was told money to be refunded to my credit card next month but a lot of good that does me with all my greenhouses set back a month now and wait for refund!!!

**Burpee seeds are the number one seed to use in your garden. I have used them myself for 20 years and each year my garden impresses me. The seeds are high quality and rarely do i plant them and have them not produce. The seeds are high enough producers that there are certain types you need less plants for a high yield.** ** If you used ten hills for your needs for cucumbers, Burpee seeds allow you to put in five hills and get bthe same high yeild as ten hills of another brand. the same for tomatoes. Three plants from Burpee will yield the same as 5 from another brand. What does this mean to you? It means less space needed for your garden if you are cramped for garden space. Less area used but the same great yield as twice the area. That is a huge plus to any gardener.**

Burpee has always had the highest quality seeds on the market.  Growing up, my mom would pull out the Burpee seed catalog around February and start planning the garden, determining what she needed to buy.  The seeds would arrive, and she would plant the large family garden, while I planted my own smaller plot.  Everything always grew.  We would have nice fresh vegetables all summer long--large juicy tomatoes, cucumbers galore, green beans, spaghetti squash, corn, you name it!  All of the plants always produced well with minimal effort on our part.  My mom bought marigolds, too, and I always grew sunflowers.  As with the vegetables, everything grew really well.  The sunflowers would grow to be five feet tall with huge tops, loaded with seeds.  Then there were the strawberries--beautiful plants that yielded quarts and quarts and quarts of berries.  I have tried other seeds since then and never been satisfied.

For the past 5 years our family has planted a small vegetable garden in our backyard. A recommendation from a neighbor who always had a plentiful garden suggested we use Burpee seeds. Our local supercenter sells them for a very reasonable price, so we tried their tomato seeds out, along with some other brands for the other vegetables. Compared to the other brands we used, Burpee Seeds produced by far the most plants than any other. We had tomatoes coming out of our ears! Since then, we have decided to use Burpee Seeds for every vegetable we plant, and our garden could not be more beautifully filled with wonderful edibles. Whenever anyone comments on our garden, I always tell them about using Burpee Seeds. Of course, well maintained soil and proper weed control also contributed to the bounty of the garden. I also love the vast variety of seeds they have. Almost any garden vegetable/fruit you can think of, they have. It is truly a wise investment!

  Look what I got the other day from Home and Gardens. They had Burpee Seeds and Plants so I ordered some just to see if they really worked. Their instructions were fun and easy to read. My grand kids even had fun helping me in the garden. They said that you should see something in a few weeks. Well they were right in 2 weeks you can see the plants starting to bud.
