kids vitamins my kids actually ask for

5

I have gone through many (and I do mean many) different brands and types of multivitamins for my children (all 9 years old and under) and they have forced down every single one and argued about taking them...until I found Flintstones chewables. They are a godsend. Not only do my children actually like the taste of them, they actually ask for them daily. When I forget, they remind me to give them their vitamin. I wish I would have discovered these sooner!

My picky 3 year old loves 'em!

5

I grew up on Flintstone vitamins, they tasted good and I loved them. So when my son started preschool and catching colds all the time I thought it might be a good time to introduce him to vitamins. I was given a sample pack of some gummy vitamins and tried to get him to try them but he would have nothing to do with them! He is a picky eater and like a lot of 3 year olds doesn't like to try new things. I gave up on the idea for a while until I had some time to kill at the drug store and started looking at kids vitamins again. I spotted the Flintstone complete and started checking them out. The ones I like have extra vitamin C and no iron. He eats a lot of meat and isn't iron deficient so I see no good reason to give him any extra. The directions say to give kids under 4 a half a vitamin, luckily they are easy to just bite in half. It took a little convincing to get h to try the first one but the choice of colors/flavors and shapes seemed to help. Because they are shaped like little guys and gals he calls them his "VitaMan's". He likes them and will even remind me when he hasn't had one! Now my picky eater is at least getting his vitamins when he won't eat his vegis. 35 years later, I still love Flintstone vitamins!

Flintstones complete chewable vitamins

I used to take Flintstones complete chewable vitamins as a kid and now these are the same vitamins I use for my four year old son! I was always a picky eater growing up and my son is as well so with Flintstones complete chewable vitamins I feel confident that he's getting all the nutrition he needs to stay healthy. These vitamins are relatively inexpensive and worth every penny! They taste great, especially for kids and they are really easy to chew. My son doesn't even like candy very much but I have no problem getting him to take this vitamin, he will even remind me if I forget one morning. I also took these vitamins when I was pregnant with my son because I had a hard time taking prenatal vitamins and my doctor recommended I take two Flintstones vitamins daily instead and I had a very healthy baby boy! Overall, I would definitely recommend Flintstones complete chewable vitamins especially for kids!

Flintstones - good for grown-ups, too!

After gastric bypass surgery, my surgeon recommended that I chew two Flintstones complete vitamins each day. I remember loving Flintstones as a child, so while I felt a little funny as an adult using a children's vitamin, I was also happy to give it a shot. I must not be the only adult who uses them; the nutritional information on the label gives the vitamins' percentage of the daily recommended value for both children and adults. I was pleased to see that Flintstones complete contain the recommended amount for many vitamins for an adult. I have to say that as an adult I'm not 100 percent in love with the taste. They're not bad, and they are sweet so I imagine that's why kids like them, but I found them their flavors a little chemical-tasting. I've never been tempted to eat them like candy, so I guess the flavor not being wonderful is sort of a plus for me. I've never been good at resisting sweets! The most important thing is that Flintstones vitamins have worked quite well for me. At my recent blood tests, my vitamin levels were perfect almost across the board. The only numbers that were slightly low were vitamin D and iron, and they were only a little low. And honestly, I've been struggling with low vitamin D and iron for many years, so I can't blame Flintstones for that entirely. Without Flintstones complete, I am sure my vitamin levels would have been a lot worse.

Not as good as the gummy version.

I love the Flintstones and these vitamins. I grew up taking them as a kid and they hold a special place in my heart. I loved the tablets as a kid and remember the purple Dino ones being my favorite. They have a lot of things in them that will help kids and grown ups live a healthy lifestyle. I decided to try these again recently as a grown up because I had such fond memories of them. They still tasted awesome and helped me feel strong and healthy throughout the day. The only reason I did not give them a 10 is because the gummy version is much better. I bought the gummy version recently too and the flavor of those is much better. I think those taste like candy so I would recommend those over the tablet version. However, this version is very yummy too! They have multiple flavors to choose from and they all taste delicious. They are also great for kids because you don't have to force them to take them. They just want to. A great vitamin all the way around!

Easy to eat vitamin for all ages

I am very impressed with this product overall. I've always hated swallowing pills and when I needed to take a daily prenatal vitamin, my doctor recommended these (and it brought me back to the good old days of childhood!). I can chew them and they come in multiple flavors.

Great Vitamin

5

When I was a child this was the vitamin that she chose to give to me. Now that I am a adult and a Mommy of two little girls this is also the vitamin I have chose for my children. As a child my brother and I could not wait until my mother told us it was time to take our vitamins. We loved them. One of the coolest things about these were that they came in different shapes and flavors. Now that I am using them for my children they have reacted the same way I did. Some times my oldest daughter will ask for another one. Not only do my children love these but I love them because I know I am giving them something that is good for their health and it isnt hard for me to get them to take them. Actually if I left them down where my children could reach them they would probably eat all of them. My children act as if these are candy. I reward them for picking up their toys with candy and sometimes they try to get me to give them a extra vitamin. Every once in a while I will give in and allow them to have 1 extra one. But this is very seldom. I am happy I didnt have to buy and try different vitamins. Because these help my children to be healthy little girls and in their minds it is candy. Overall it is a win win situation.

Great for all ages!

I love these vitamins. I have been taking them since I was a kid. I stopped taking them in my teen years (big mistake!) and started again when I got pregnant with my first child. These vitamins have everything I was looking for; taste, full of good vitamins, gentle on upset stomachs, price point. These were the only vitamins I could handle while pregant and also after my son was born and I was breastfeeding. Now, if I don't take my Flintstone vitamin in the morning I get a headache by the time I get to work! I really like that they aren't too expensive, and there is a normal rotating sale schedule along with coupons which really help us to be able to raise our young family in this tough economic time. I also really like the fact that anyone, at almost any age can take these vitamins, either daily or when they run out of their daily vitamins. I definitely plan on giving my children these vitamins when the are old enough for them!

Easy to digest

3

Flintstones vitamins are not my first choice for vitamins. While they contain many different vitamins and minerals, they are also full of other ingredients, including natural and artificial flavors. Anytime I see a "healthy product" that has anything artificial, even if it constitutes less than 2% of the product, I keep shopping. However, I take Flintstones vitamins because my doctor recommended them as an easy to digest supplement. And he was right. I have an auto immune disease, therefor it is very important for me to absorb my vitamins. Who knew that source would come from Flintstones vitamins? On to the not so important things... The flavor is nasty. It has that artificial after taste, and a gross film that remains on your tongue and the roof of your mouth long after you have taken the medicine. Check with your doctor and see if this is a good option for you - all natural products are better in my opinion, but if you need something that is easy to absorb and digest, this might be your best bet!

Do not taste good at all

2

For being a children's vitamin, these are really nasty tasting. They taste more like chalk or aspirin, rather than vitamins that are supposed to taste good to encourage your children to take vitamins daily. I have five children ranging in ages from two through eleven, the only one of my children that will eat these is my eleven year old son. I remember eating these as a child and didn't like them neither, but back then we didn't have the option of gummy vitamins so we were stuck with the Flintstones chewable variety. I think they are priced too high for the taste. I don't want to have to go through the headache of begging my children to eat their vitamin every day, but pay a high price to do so! These would have to be priced significantly lower than gummy vitamins for me to consider them. But if you child isn't particularly picky, they have all the essential vitamins and minerals in them to keep them healthy and growing.
