I've been a candy lover my entire life, and I'm always trying new candies as they come onto the market. I still love candy from my childhood, like **Bottle Caps** and **Starburst**, but I also like the candy that came out when I was a bit older, like **Runts** and **Skittles**. I tend to not like the new fruit-flavored licorice products, because they don't taste good and have a terrible texture. But when I recently spotted **Wonka Kazoozles**, they looked different...but I still thought they could be licorice-like. For 59 cents, I decided to give it a try anyway. **Wonka Kazoozles** are a newer candy from **Wonka**. They describe it as a "Delickoricious Chewy Candy". It comes in two flavors at the moment - *Pink Lemonade* and *Cherry Punch*. I bought the *Pink Lemonade* flavor. Inside my pink foil wrapper were two approximately 5" long "ropes". They are bright yellow (which, to me, as an adult, is a bit unappetizing), quite dense and heavy, and filled with a bright, light pink "filling". The outer yellow "rope" is the same texture as red licorice, and the pink filling is slightly softer, making it more of a chewy candy. The yellow outside part is dusted with sour lemon-flavored sugar. Each rope weighed .9 oz., as the entire package is 1.8 oz. **Kazoozles** are fairly soft, but they are still a bit firm and have, like I said earlier, the texture of red licorice, but chewier. The outer yellow part is lemon flavored, and I can taste the cherry flavor of the pink filling. It really does have a sweet and sour lemonade flavor and is quite tasty. You have to be a fan of lemon flavor, as the cherry flavor here definitely takes a back seat to the lemon flavor. These are not super sour, and since the sugar dusting is the only thing that makes these sour, you may like these even if you don't like sour candy. Just one of these "ropes" will satisfy your sweet tooth, but if you are like me and you have a hard time not finishing off the pack you opened, you'll be eating both. **Wonka** states that the entire package is one serving, containing 180 calories. Overall, I like **Wonka Kazoozles** quite a bit and will be purchasing the *Pink Lemonade* flavor again, along with the *Cherry Punch* flavor. I recommend these to fans of Wonka candy or those who like candy that is sweet and sour at the same time, and those who like gummy candy or fruity-flavored licorice.
