This unit is available at a reasonable cost and with as many as 10 HD dvd's thrown in. The load time is pretty fast. The performance is first rate and the styling is beautiful. The only fly in the ointment is the terrible remote. Very few sets accomodate the 1080P snd thge picture at 1080i is awesome so not really worth the extra bread for th "p".

It has been about maybe one year since I've had this Toshiba HD DVD Player. I would say it's "alright", it does everything that it says. The thing I hate the most about it is that it loads up way to slow. You press the eject button, and you literally have to wait about 20-30 seconds before it pops open. Also, if you accidently press it again, it goes back in and you got to wait like 5 more seconds. I was surprised because I thought the advancement of technology was better, but apparently not for this HD DVD Player. To have better quality while, you it is suggested to purchase an HDMI Cable and plug it in to your HD TV. I got 2 free movies with the player which were 300 and one of the Bourne Identity movies, in which the quality was great. Overall, like I said earlier, it's "alright" especially if you want to buy something like this for a small cost,

  My husband and I purchased this HD DVD player about 3 weeks ago.  Not only is the picture crisp and clear but the sound is fantastic.  This particular model also came with two FREE HD DVD's just for buying the player. We are very pleased with this purchase and I encourage anyone who is interested in getting a HD DVD player to try this particular brand and model.
