I bought this for my daughter since sometimes she is just too tired to wash her hair everyday. She liked that you didn't need to use any water to use this product. Just shake up and squirt out onto your hands to get started. The TRESemme dry shampoo she used was for straight / normal hair. There are other choices for other different hair types. Effectiveness After she applied the TRESemme dry shampoo to her hair she just used her fingertips to pull the shampoo through her hair. She also sprayed the dry shampoo onto her roots. This helped it take out the oil that gets into your hair and took care of your hair odor as well. She then went to bed and got up and styled as usual. No one at school knew that she didn't really wash her hair because her hair looked great. Scent The scent of the TRESemme smells like a normal shampoo. No one will tell that you actually didn't wash your hair at all. It does take away odor in your hair and makes your hair smell just washed.

I purchased this product along with the dry shampoo in hopes that on the days that my hair was curled I could use this shampoo as an option. The product is much better than it's tresemme fresh start dry shampoo counterpart, but it still does not get the job done. The waterless foam pumps out and you are to apply it to your hair directly. It makes your hair smell fresh and clean, but it fails to actually make your hair look fresh or clean and it definitely does not make oily hair any less oily. This is more of a quick fix if you absolutely do not have the time to wash your hair or perhaps if you are a smoker (or spent an extended amount of time in a smoky bar) and you want to try to make your hair lose the smell of cigarettes. Other than that I would suggest just washing your hair and leaving the entire Tresemme Fresh Start line alone, it doesn't work as advertised and it isn't worth the price.

I am on my second bottle of the Tresemme Fresh Start Waterless Foam Shampoo. While that would seem to indicate a dedication to the product, that is not really the case. I guess it's become more of a habit than anything, and my hair is quite unruly so I'm afraid it might be even more so without this product. First of all, I have wavy to curly, color-treated caucasian hair. Having curly hair, it is quite dry and looks better if I wash it every other day instead of every day. However, I live in a hot, humid climate and also exercise every morning, so my hair can get dirty/sweaty easily. The directions for this product say to work it in and then rub off excess with a towel, but I always just leave it in. If you rub curly hair with a towel, you are just asking for more frizz and volume. It does leave a pleasant scent in my hair, and seems to help a bit with the frizz, but don't expect any miraculous results.

I have the type of hair that must be shampoo & conditioned every single day or it can get very tangly/knotty and almost like dread locks after a day. I bought this stuff with the hope that I could take it traveling or camping, or use it when I'm short on time, or wake up late. I found that I have to use WAY more than is directed for a good result. Instead of a pump, I use like 7 pumps. I distribute the stuff throughout my hair, and then take a washcloth to soak up any oil/dirt. I can't see the oil/dirt and my hair doesn't really feel any cleaner. On the other hand my hair is transformed into something resembling normal styled looking hair. It kind of looks like the on purpose bed head effect. I can recurl my curls, defrizz some frizz and volumize my hair with this stuff. The back of my hair tends to be a little gnarly and the least effected by the product. I've used this about 5 times ever, and every time nobody could tell I'd not taken a shower. This has been a life saver, so to speak, but I still prefer a real shampoo and conditioner session. I am willing to dry other waterless and dry shampoos but this works well enough that I won't seek anything else out.

I was a huge skeptic and was certain something like this wouldn't work for me even if it did for countless others. I have fine, thin hair (those are 2 different plagues; not the same thing) and it gets OILY every night in my sleep about 1-2" down from the roots. I spray this at the roots, LET IT DRY and then brush my hair out with my head upside down. VOILA! My hair looks and acts clean again with even a little volume that's hard to get the rest of the time without buildup. I'm a snoozer and often don't get out of bed until I absolutely am 10 minutes behind of bare minimum to get out the door. Now I sometimes plan to oversleep knowing it won't wreck my image the next day. I've got roommates and gave each of them their own and I still got asked (yesterday) by one if she could borrow mine. This should be in every girl's stock of hair-stylin' supplies (and in your checked-in luggage for travel).

I absolutely love this product!  I have hair that gets really dry and frizzy if I overwash it, but I hate feeling dirty (especially at the roots!) when I don't wash my hair every day, so this is the perfect comprimise!  I use it in the morning right before I style my hair and it works like a charm.  I have to use a bit more than the bottle recommends, but it makes my hair feel refreshed and clean without overdrying it.  I love that it comes out as a light foam instead of a gel or liquid or spray.  It doesn't weigh my hair down and I get plenty of volume, even after using it.  It is inexpensive, especially if you combine it with a TRESemme coupon.  It smells awesome (my husband loves to smell my hair after I use it).  My hair stays looking clean and fresh all day.  I even use this in conjunction with the TRESEmme Freshening Mist (or something to that effect). I would definitely recommend this product to anyone and everyone.

This new waterless foam shampoo from TRESemme is great!  In just a minute I can have fresh, non-oily hair without having to take a shower!  This is great for those late-start days or for days when I am too busy taking care of the kids to find time to take a shower.  The waterless shampoo is very easy to use; you only need to spray a couple of quick sprays straight on the roots of your hair and let it sit for a minute or two.  Then you brush out your hair and have non-greasy, fresh hair.  The scent is fresh-smelling but a little strong at first.  I was also pleasantly surprised at the extra volume that the waterless shampoo gives my hair!  I have very oily hair, so this waterless shampoo is really a time-saver at my house for the days when I just don't have time to wash my hair.  I do have to be careful to brush through my hair very well after using the spray to make sure there aren't any gray streaks of the shampoo.  I would definitely recommend trying this product as it is great for making hair fresh in just a quick spray!

My hair is a little unusual. The top layer is completely straight and the underneath layer is all wavy. My hair is very thick, so I normally wash it every other day. If I wanted to go for the curly look, I could never get it to hold for more than a day. I would wake up the next morning, and all my waves were flat. I decided to buy and try this waterless shampoo and am glad I did. I put this in my hair in the morning and am good to go until I wash my hair that night. I never thought I would be able to get my hair looking decent on day 2 with curls. The only draw back is if you have a lot of hair, you are going to have to use quite a bit of this product.

I really really wanted to love this product.  I have a job with very unpredictable hours and sometimes will be up all night and have to turn around and head to the office for 8 hours straight.  I was excited by the prospect of being able to freshen up my hair without actually needing to jump in the shower.  I have friends who swear by dry shampoo and thought I had found the solution.  This is not it for me. I have fine hair that normally requires a shampooing daily to avoid looking greasy.  The first time I tried Fresh Start I was overwhelmed by the smell.  I did not like the old lady-floral smell to it, especially not in my hair.  I did like the volume that was created, which would be great for some hairstyles.  But by the time lunch rolled around (a mere 30 hours from original shampoo) I was already looking like a grease ball AND smelling like I was doused in cheap perfume.  Fresh Start just didn't do a whole lot for me.  I gave it another go, thinking maybe I needed to let it sit on my hair longer before brushing it out, but to no avail.  I will pass in the future on it and just have a ponytail kind of day instead.  Thanks but no thanks!
