Folic Acid

Comments about Spring Valley Folic Acid 400 Mcg Tablets:

I had taken Spring Valley Folic Acid 400 Mcg tablets during my first two pregnancies. I have a cousin who has Spina Bifida, so my OBGYN recommended that I take folic acid during my pregnancy. Folic acid helps make DNA, RNA, amino acids and red blood cells. So by taking folic acid while your pregnant ensures proper growth for your baby and it also can help prevent your baby being born with having certain spinal defects, like spina bifida. I am currently taking Folic Acid again. My husband and I are planning on having our third child within the next year and doctors recommend that Women should start taking folic acid before conceiving as well as after conceiving to help prevent such spinal birth defects. So I am currently taking Spring Valley folic acid 400mcg and I am going to keep taking folic acid until we have our third child. I recommend every pregnant women to take Folic Acid while they are pregnant, because nothing is more important than a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Comments about Spring Valley Folic Acid 400 Mcg Tablets:

This Folic acid pill is tiny, and very easy to swallow. My personal use for this item was while ttc my son. However, the regulation of CM and fact of having to buy less pamprin and midol made me stick to it. I personally over take my folic acid to ensure it stays full in my system at all times. (after so many doctor appointments, you get tired of seeing those guys, and NO-ONE really like giving blood.). I take one 400mcg in the morning with my prenatal and biotin(also spring valley) and I take a second 400mcg folic at night with dinner. I try to take all my pills with food now as I don't really enjoy tummy issues, and most vitamins, supplements tend to mess with my stomach real real bad if I don't take them with food.
I did notice that when i first started taking these pills that left an awkward taste in my throat, but after a few days that went away. I took a 4 month break also and when i stopped taking the Folic acid my skin broke out for about a week, Wash wash wash- it should go away.
*please keep in mind I do take multiple supplements, I am attempting to gain weight and EVERYONE has different reactions to everything.
**if you are TTC you need to pick up a bottle of this and do the 2 a day thing...its going to help you out and help that little blessing to start and stay healthy. Best Of Luck!
