A strong performer, this laptop will handle any reasonable task thrown at it. While it's not a gaming laptop, it can handle most other applications with ease. The included Sony software is some of the nicest bundled software I've ever seen come with a laptop.  The media center makes creating a slideshow of pictures, complete with music, totally effortless. Of course, as a computer that gives a lot of power, it also takes a lot of power. The extended life battery gives about 4 hours of life with a decent load of programs running. Noise from the fans can become bothersome when on "Performance Mode", but otherwise the noise from the system is not too bad. Overall it's a strong laptop, and for the prices its kind of hard to beat. The hard drive and RAM are pretty easily replaced, but unless you like voiding your warranty, only an authorized SONY technician can make changes within the computer.
