My Sears Mattress Is Much Needed After 5 Years Of Marriage!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

My husband and I spent the first five years of our marriage sleeping on the mattress my parents used as newlyweds. After 30+ years of use, it needed to be replaced, but we were short on cash!

Sears was having an incredible sale on its full line of mattresses, including the Sealy Posturpedia "Casson Bay" model. Even though we didn't think we had enough money for a new mattress set, we were surprised to learn that we did. There were plenty of mattresses for us to try out in the store, and the sales person was very patient with us and our two year old daughter who came along for the trip.

The mattress was delivered on schedule, and I've had two weeks of great sleep since. The only caveat I have is with the financing; we signed up for a Sears charge card for the $15 credit. But it didn't appear on our first billing statement, which is a headache since we'd planned to pay it off in full the first month.

i like it, but no one else does

Overall

I bought the generic no features added sears mattress 2 years ago after I graduated college.  I did not have much money and did not feel like spending more than what I had to on a mattress.  Additionally, I have no trouble sleeping and have never experienced back pain.  I do like a softer mattress and the sears mattress is very soft.  I cannot complain about the mattress because I got it for around $75.  I do not anticipate myself keeping it more than another year or so because it was not built to last and some of the bedding is deteriorating and the stitching has come loose at a few places.  While I do not mind the softness of the mattress at all, any guest that I have had - sister, parents, etc. has absolutely hated it and said it was way too soft and gave them back pain.  My mom also felt that it was unstable and uneven.  If you have any back problems at all I would not reommend it, if you are looking for somethign temporary and cheap I would.

My first experience with a Sears bed is a good one!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

This Sears-O-Pedic bed was the first one I bought for myself. While I'll admit I didn't do tons of research on beds before selecting this one, I still believe I made a good choice. This is a very comfortable bed, and seems to be well made, too. I have had it for about a year now, and it still feels the same as it did the first night-comfy! I tend to have back pain, and the mattress I had before did not seem to help much. This one, though, cradles my body nicely, providing good support but it's not too firm. It has also somewhat suprised me-the bed I had previously formed a dent in the spot I tend to sleep on even though I flipped it regularly. This one, however, hasn't. And since it's a pill...

not very long lasting

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

I bought this searsopedic mattress a couple of years ago because my old mattress was sagging and no longer comfortable.  After a couple of years this mattress is already sagging and not properly supporting me in sleep.  I am not a big woman so i would have expected this mattress to last for several years before needing replacement.  I would not buy another one of these mattresses.  I spent much more for this mattress than i had planned becaue i wanted a really good mattress so i could sleep comfortable and not have to get another mattress for several years.
