DWM400 DVD Player is durable
I received the Sanyo DVD player as a gift a few years ago. In general it has worked fairly well, despite the fact that it has occasionally taken a tumble off the entertainment center courtesy of our toddler. Unfortunately the same durability does not apply to the remote control. The remote stopped functioning shortly after we received the DVD player. I didn't mind at first since I think it's a bit lazy to not get out of your chair to turn on the t.v. and DVD player, but I soon found that anything beyond the most basic functions of play, pause, stop, fast forward and backward is not accessible if you do not have an operating remote. I find this really infuriating! I think all the functions should be accessible from the player itself. Now there are several DVD's we can no longer watch on our player, specifically ones of t.v. shows where you must select each episode from the main menu. It is also impossible to change language and subtitle settings.
