Excellent, efficient, toner-conscious printer.

I have had this printer for about four months and so far it has treated me wonderfully. The job it does in both color and b&w is crisp, clean, and very professional looking. As a student, I print a ton of text documents. I'd wager that in just four months I have printed about a ream of paper...500 pages. Currently the printer says it is about 1/3 of the way through its black toner cartridge (it has a status bar you can easily access through the system tray-another pro), so 1,500k pages is about accurate. I have only encountered two issues with the printer, the first on setup and the second ongoing. On setup I had a difficult time getting the paper tray set to a normal 8.5x11 paper size. It definitely created some frustration as the instructions were lacking in this, but with patience I availed, and it holds about half a ream at a time, so I don't have to fiddle with it often. I haven't tried changing the size to an envelope or anything else yet...I'm honestly a little scared. My second issue is that it cannot automatically print double-sided. Manual wouldn't be too much of a chore, except that Microsoft Word 2010 handles manual 2-sided printing about as well as a nervous chihuahua would handle doing brain surgery with a pipe wrench. Between the two of them I have wasted no small amount of paper trying to print double-sided. *However*, this is far more Word's fault than it is the printer's. Lots of printers can't do automatic double-sided printing, and it should not be faulted for Microsoft's lame print settings. That being said, if you find a screaming deal on this printer like I did, buy it and don't look back. I couldn't be happier with it. Oh, and it has never jammed. Note: Some reviewers have expressed difficulty setting up wireless printing. I use my desktop as a shared print server and thus have not tried this myself.

cool wireless color laser printer for being -255.00

This printer is pretty amazing. Samsung came up with a nice small compact wireless color laser printer that works via ethernet usb or wirelessly. It does have a webserver built in which you can see the status of toner level and firmware version. It also has a blue light to indicate it is on a wireless network. There are some cons with this printer mainly the price of toner is really expensive. I also want to point out if you guys plan on updating the firmware, it is not as easy as it sounds or looks. I actually had to go into my temp folder and click away at some of the items that appeared on startup with the pc to manually update the firmware!. The update would fail initially, so again be careful and attentive if upgrading the firmware. The printer doesnt jam but you have to powercycle it if the printer warms up and attempts to print a page and the light displays red. I dont think there is a way to get around that :(, but either powercycle it or remove the paper tray and re-insert it and pray it prints without powercycling. This does not have duplex printing, and the print resolution is 2400x600 which out does alot of other printers out there. But the toner cost alone will make you toss this in the trash.

Very disappointing!

This was so a waste of money. I was so excited when we first got it, it did work great for the first few days then it started jamming up every piece of paper. It started making noises when you tried to print. It was loud to begin with. I took it back to the store and they gave me another one and it did the same thing. It had beautiful color graphs when it printed but that was all. It just gets louder and louder when it does work. It has jammed so much that the back door where you clear the jam doesn't even want to stay closed. i will never buy a samsung product again

It's useful but doesn't have a copier - that's the main flaw.

The Samsung CLP-315 Color Laser Printer, from the Samsung Color Laser Printer CLP-310/315 Series is a great color laser printer but doesn't have a copier, unlike the Brother DCP 7020. It prints beautifully if only you use enough colored ink. It fits virtually anywhere - this model is super compact. It is designed with NO NOIS print engine technology for quiet operation, which can be very convenient at times. The text printed from this model is super clear and very legible. This Samsung CLP-315 has fast speed - 16/4 pages per minute and up to 2,400 x 600 dpi effective output. Its compact style is only 15.1 x 12.4 x 9.3 inches. It also has front loading toner cartridges to make loading easier, which is also very convenient. The Samsung CLP-315 has a maximum monthly duty cycle of printing 200,000 pages. Teamed with Color **Xpression**, the Samsung CLP-310/315 produces bright and on-target colors.

Great Samsung Laser Color Printer

5

I love this printer. This is my first laser printer, so I cannot really say how it compares to a different laser printer, but compared to my ink jet this one is by far superior. I like the size of this printer; it does not take up much space on my desk and looks nice. . For casual home use, the print quality and speed of the CLP 315W is great. I print a lot of documents and color presentations and this printer does an awesome job. I love the wireless feature so I do not have to plug up my PC every time I want to print something, which I had to do on my old printer. I also love the color quality and print quality. It is also relatively quiet. One drawback is the price of the toners, it uses 4 toners and they are kind of pricey. On the bright side, I have used it for a while and still have plenty of toner left. It was easy to set up, even without the manual and installation cd, which were missing, because I got the display model. There is a slight burning odor when the printer is warming up or applying to color if you haven't used the printer for a while. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone. All-in-all, another great product from Samsung.

GREAT BUY

5

This is a great buy. Works very well, colors and inks do not run out fast and it is very reliable. Very few jams and quite quiet when printing. Like that it goes into energy save mode when it is not in use and that preserves the laser and ink life, along with the power bill. Very easy to connect and use in the household or business.

No worry printing

I love this printer!!  I hate having to click the print icon and having to deal with paper jams.  Not anymore!  I have never had a problem and the ink toners last forever.    I am always printing a coupons and still the cup never runs dry.  The only con to this printer is it will not take card stock.  For every day to day I am very pleased.
