Philips Universal in 5 colors are a great buy for MP3's. We had bought this for my daughter in purple. She loves it. She is 12 and still growing, Her Zune worked perfect in it.  The sound quality was great. You can plug this into any MP3 player or other electronic and use it. I believe they are making everything now universal. She used this with her Zune device and they worked great. They have a wrist band with it to hang from your wrist. It does blast good if you want to! The sound quality is very clear and loud. She did not have it all the way turned up and it still sounded great.  They do come in different colors, Blue, Green, Red, Pink, Purple, and Black. This speaker is very handy when you dont have a huge system or need a speaker for your MP3 player to dance. It is also small enough to fit into a purse. It does require batteries AAA-3. I would recommend this product to anyone needing a portable speaker. It was a inexpensive buy.
