I use this kitchen scale almost everyday to get more accurate measurements and to weigh meats, etc for cooking and baking. I have occasionally found recipes on European blogs that I wanted to make, but it was such a hassle to convert to cups/tablespoons. My scale can weigh any ingredient that I want. So glad I bought it!

Our family loves to cook and bake, so we have a lot of quality kitchen tools. I have an Escali kitchen scale that handles most of my needs, as well as an OXO brand that my husband uses for weighing coffee beans for roasting. But one of our sons is a student at Le Cordon Bleu cooking school, studying to be a pastry chef, and he wanted a scale of his own - so for Christmas I bought him the Ozeri Touch II Professional Digital Kitchen Scale, thinking it looked cool, and noticing the good reviews. He couldn't be more pleased. In fact, we were baking together about a week ago, and we were weighing ingredients that he found were more accurate on his Ozeri then my Escali unit. I love that this scale is glass topped and easy to wipe clean. The flat surface also makes it nice for stabilizing your measuring vessel. You can even just set a piece of wax paper on it and weigh your ingredients right on the paper, then dump it into your recipe when needed. You can use the tare feature with each new addition and get spot on accuracy. You can weigh up to 11 pounds on this little scale, which is perfect for bread bakers like me. It's a little pricey, but I think I'm going to have to splurge and get myself one now that I've seen how much nicer it is than my bumpy and awkward Escali unit. The large LED screen is easy to read.

I have never had a kitchen scale before so I do not really have anything to compare it against. I recently found myself getting a lot more interested in cooking and cookbooks. Many recipes called for weight measurements and I have always just had to guess on the correct portions. So, I have really been wanting a kitchen scale in order to follow recipes more accurately. My husband looked at some reviews and pricing and chose to get this one for me for Christmas 2010. I have already used the scale several times and have been very pleased with how it works and how it looks. It is small enough and slim enough that I can just slip it into a drawer or cupboard when not in use. It is very simple to zero-out (tare, or whatever the term is) the scale with a plate or bowl on it and then put the item on the plate, if necessary. I'm really glad that I received this scale. I suppose that the only thing I would change would be to make it waterproof. I sometimes worry about getting liquid on it and damaging it in that way, but it hasn't been a real problem yet.

I really love the style of this scale. It's quite beautiful and sleek. I just keep it on the kitchen counter and leave it to be admired. It doesn't work quite as nicely as it looks, but it does the job just fine. I use the scale both for baking (mostly breadmaking) and weighing packages for mailing. It does just fine for when you just want to quickly weigh something, but for something like baking, when I am constantly going back and forth between using my scale and gathering ingredients, it can get pretty annoying because there is about a one minute shut-off from inactivity. It can get pretty frustrating when you're trying to get your ingredients and the scale sudden turn off, but I've just learned to have everything ready to be weighed instead. I've had the scale for a few months now, and I haven't had to change the batteries yet. I use it about two or three times a week. The one thing that I have noticed is that the display takes a long time to start up. It use to start up right away, but now, the display seems to get a little confused and spits out random characters until I've hit the tare button a few times. Overall, though, I really like this scale and have found it to be extremely useful.

The Ozeri Touch II Professional Digital Kitchen Scale is a handy tool for the kitchen, especially if you a looking to lose weight.  It is accurate, easy to use and easy to clean.  It is a little pricey, though.

This is a must have for every kitchen! This product is extremely useful for me when I am in the kitchen. I am able to accurately measure all types of foods: from meats to fruits to veggies, I can properly portion the exact amount of food I need for any given dish! The main way in which this item is useful is it allows me to weigh foods. So, if I am needing to follow a recipe to the letter, I am able to be as precise as possible when deciding how much food I add to my dish. This item is also useful for me as I am trying to lose weight. Often times, my biggest issue is properly portioning my meals. I am totally prone to eat too much meat, too many sweets, and too much fat. However, with this item, I can measure the exact amount of meat I need to eat for any gievn meal. Let's face it, the rule "eat meat the size of your fist" does not work and does not provide a fail safe for me, as I have rather large hands.
