I love looking at the Orvis catalog because the dogs are just precious! We have four dogs so dog supplies are in big demand around here. We have an Orvis store not too far away, but the best selection is online. That said, I think Orvis is overpriced and I think they could offer free shipping all the time which is currently only available to their credit card holders. But when they have a sale and offer free shipping I am on board. I trust them to make quality products for my pets. The best time to look for that combination is around the holidays. I wanted a jacket for our oldest dog because although he loves his walks, he is no longer a spry pup and I want him to stay warm. The coat I purchased was on sale, their sizing was accurate and the dog loves it so much he wears it all day long! I also wanted to purchase a dog bed for him because it is so hard for him to even get up on the sofa these days. Again, Orvis had put a decent selection on sale and I found what I wanted on sale. It was backordered, but they kept me informed about when it would ship and actually got it to me before the date they had indicated. For personsonalized dog collars I would not shop anywhere else. The collars are sturdy and finally come in a good selection of collars. As they are personalized online is the best way to order so you can see that the information you are putting on the collar is correct. Customer Service I haven't had to use customer service, but I imagine it is good Shipping and Returns I thought shipping was quick and I have never returned anything

We ordered through Orvis from a gift card that was given for a holiday. We are not typically able to afford products from Orvis, but the gift card made it possible for us to make a purchase to buy a few things that we never would have purchased on our own. Orvis has some great outdoor wear and gear that my husband was dying to try. We ended up getting a lot of fishing stuff. He bought some special wading boots and other fishing related gear that turned out to be high quality. It was also high price, which is why our purchase was somewhat limited. We were definitely pleased to be able to buy the products, and found them to be superior to other similar products from lesser stores. We probably won't be making any purchases from Orvis again, unless another gift card arrives our way. We were however, very thrilled to get what we did and will be using it for quite some time. I'm sure it will last longer than lesser quality products and that made the experience one that we are blessed to have had.

Orvis.com is one of the websites I shop at if I'm looking for any type of outdoor items to purchase. The website is set up that it's really easy to navigate. It is not too overwhelming with too many products to look thru in order to make your purchase. The homepage of the website allows you to select different departments to shop at. These include men, women, hunting, gifts, etc. Once you select the department you want to shop in, there are subcategories to further help your shopping experience be easier. When you pick the product you're looking for, there are detailed descriptions as well as reviews written by other people who purchased the item. These reviews are always something I look at because they help you decide what item is best to buy from their personal experience. The check out process is easy to go thru on this website, and the items always ship quickly. They arrive looking exactly as they do in the photos on the website.

We have ordered a few times from www.orvis.com over the past ten years. We mainly bought the ToughChew dog beds from their website. The beds are not cheap, but they do come with a guarantee. One of our dogs did manage to chew through the corner of one of the ToughChew dog beds. I called customer service and explained what happened. They asked me to send the chewed up cover back to them and they would send a brand new one out to replace it with the same "no questions asked" guarantee. They did exactly what they said they would do and quickly. We received the new dog bed cover in about a week or so. Our dog managed to chew a hole in that bed cover as well. So I called customer service again and they decided to just refund our money for the bed and let us keep the chewed up one. We received our refund check in a reasonable time frame. Great customer service! The website is laid out in an organized way. It's fairly easy to find things. Their shipping costs are laid out in a table on their website.

Websites of favorite retailers tend to replace paper catalogs-I would say this of Orvis.com. I've always enjoyed wandering into their outlets when I happen upon one, but I've found the website to be a comparable experience to the store. I like L.L.Bean, but in my opinion the Orvis website surpasses them in being interesting, and changing things up a bit while still remaining classic. The background in the site is inspiring and beautiful, and viewing the merchandise is always easy. Of course I love the sales, but the site has more to share with us than just products to buy-fascinating trips, sweepstakes, information on causes we are likely to be interested in, blogs, and more. They stand behind their products and follow up on what you ordered to see that you are pleased with it. Its a site that always inspires me to do something, and that is more important than just shopping.

I like Orvis a lot for their products for the home and pet products. Orvis.com is nice to have access to when I don't have the chance to go to the nearest Orvis store which is about 45 minutes away from where I live. Orvis.com has a wide variety of products, especially if you lead an active lifestyle and enjoy the outdoors. On the down side, even though Orvis products are good quality, I still think they are overpriced. If I can find a similar item somewhere else cheaper, I typically will buy it somewhere else. The exception would be if only Orvis has exactly what I want. My main criticism of Orvis.com is that they don't carry some popular items that are available in the store. For example, there is a stuffed chicken dog toy that my yellow lab loves, than is not available online. Also, if you live near an Orvis store, they periodically send coupons for $25 on your purchase of $50 or more which are not accepted online. However, if you find something in the catalog or online that is not available in the store, you can order right it in the store if you ask a sales clerk.
