Helps with making the shave smoother, and feels nice on the skin. The cream is thick once you lather it up a bit against your beard/mustache or in your palm. There is a kind of menthol-like burn on the skin. It's light, but still there. I suggest that if you use this, shave with lukewarm water or cooler. Any hotter and you'll likely end up with irritated skin. As for how much to use, you don't really need that much unless you really like to lather it up. If you're on a budget and need a shaving cream for sensitive skin, give this one a try. Effectiveness This product does pretty well. I generally just need shaving cream to help make the shave smoother and this does what it claims it will do. Scent There is a light scent, but it won't interfere with any scented aftershave splash/balm/lotion you want to use. I personally don't like having scented shaving cream but even though this product is not unscented, it's not so much so that it would bother me.

It has been a good long while since I have used Nivea for Men shaving gel for my shaving needs, and it has more to do with budgetary needs than it does for the quality of Nivea's product, which, in terms of its efficacy and its scent and its sensitivity for my skin, I would rate as among the best experiences I have ever had with a shave gel. So why am I knocking the overall score of Nivea for Men down to a seven? The reason is not because of the soothing, cool blue color of the gel, the scent (which is neither too generically shaving cream scented or overpoweringly fragrant), its ease at being worked into a lather, or even its sensitivity and its ability to contribute to a nice, close shave: I am knocking down the rating simply because I had problems with the secreting of the gel from the container, where the area that you press upon to secrete the gel gets stuck easily, to the point where you either end up with a thin line of gel or no gel at all. Such a shame, because the product itself I would consider the tops. The container, however? It is the pits.

I love Nivea for Men Sensitive Shaving Gel, I don't care if it is for men. It works great for me. I have really sensitive legs and it is hard to find a gentle shaving cream, let alone a razor that doesn't hard my legs. This cream has been great. My husband has it on hand always and I am constantly stealing it from him. A little bit goes a long way and the bottle lasts for a long time. It is soft and creamy and leaves your skin smooth, hydrated and no cuts or nicks. Of course you have to be careful shaving too. It has been great to leave my skin soothed after shaving and does not cause me any irritation. I have used it several times and I would really recommend it for soft, sensitive skin. I have been very happy with the results and will use it again. Effectiveness Great, protects, softens, smooths and hydrates. Scent The scent is soft and not overpowering. As soon as you wash off the excess foam, it is pretty much gone.

The overall ratings for nivea for men sensitive shaving gel is real good for certain people with delicate and sensitive skin.This product really keeps your face feeling great and free from the razor bumps I used to get prior using this product. Effectiveness Nivea always does its job and keeps my skin from any type of razor bumps or rash.I had a problem before because I couldn't find anything that would work on my skin until I tried Nivea for men sensitive shave gel. Scent Well Nivea for men sensitive gel really doesn't have a scent on their product.So actually the type of scent it had was a little clean smell to it.So I guess it was alright.

I use different brands of shaving lotions and found this one to be pretty effective ,considering that it does not cause irritation and makes the razor slide real smooth.One improvement I would suggest is to work on the easeness of flow from the bottle(this compares baddly with other shave lotions-that come out of the bottle real fast).The pressurizing on container maked on think the bottle is always empty compared to other brands.I find the natural ingredients to be effective and add up to the overall value of the product.The chemistry of the product is just right in respect to dermatological aspects of sensitivity.Chamomile and vitamin smells are barely noticible,the white foam has a rather bulky appearance that distributes well on skin of face.Great product ,recommend it.

I had been a long time user of a brand which shan't be mentioned here -- the one in an orange can, if you want a hint. Having gone along with my humble (though hardly in price) Gillette 3 razor,  I never really thought a shave should be a pleasant endeavor. Indeed, it was not until I decided to try this Nivea shaving gel that I found that shaves did not have to hurt! I was truly amazed! I still use the gillette 3 razor, as expensive as it may be, but I find that my shaves are smooth and relatively painless! Additionally, I've come to find that I'm not slicing my face like a New York Deli man. This is going to sound like a shrill, but I find that I actually have more confidence during the day because my face isn't full of dried-blooded gashes. A pleasure is this Nivea Shaving Gel. So, if I like it so much, why am I only giving it 4 stars? Price is a factor. Also, I feel effiminate for not shaving like a real man with a straight edge (or at least a safety razor).

I think that I probnably used more of this shaving gel than my Husband did! I was able to use coupons and rebates to get this product for nothing out of pocket, so we decided it would be a great opportunity for my Husband to try out a new shave gel. He was using Fusion shave gel on a regular basis before be got this bottle of Nivea shave gel. He was in love with his other shave gel, but money talks. He tried this nivea shave gel, and he loved it. He made the mistake of leaving it in the shower and then I tried it, and I loved it. I kept right on loving it until it was gone. Needless to say, we are going to buy more of this when I see it on sale! The scent is great- not too overpowering. A little manly, sicne it is made for men, but not so manly that I would not use it. That con definitely doesn't outweight the pros. It leaves your skin feeling cooled and soft. I hardly, if at all, got any knicks/cuts.
