Nestle Toll House Cookie Dough: Easy as 1, 2, 3

5

When I found this cookie dough it was absolutely the best thing I have ever bought. The cookie dough is ready to form or cut whichever you prefer. Then you just put them on a cookie sheet and pop them in the oven. My favorite is the sugar cookie dough. They come out soft and sugary. I sometimes put chocolate candy or decorations on them. They always turn out great. Easy as 1, 2, 3!

Decent product.

I love Nestle Toll House chocolate chips and their chocolate chip cookie recipe. I bought this one time thinking that the cookies would taste like their homemade didn't. However, it didn't. They tasted like frozen cookie dough. The cookie dough itself didn't taste great, but the cookies were decent. I prefer homemade over the Toll House Cookie Dough Family Size Tub, but this is decent.

Lazy man's cookie, decent final product

This ready made dough for the lazy cookie maker actually makes a very solid final cookie product. The dough will last for a really long time in the freezer, but should be refrigerated when you want to use it so that it scoops out better. The cookie made is creamy and soft if cooked right and is definitely a good cookie compared to many other mixes and pre-made doughs.

Nestle toll house cookie dough is easy to open and easy to scoop. The cookies taste just like homemade cookies when they are done! Also, this family size tub makes a whole lot of cookies that whole family can enjoy! It can be a little pricey but worth the price. The cookies are delicious.

These are so GOOD COOKIES.  We used to keep a tub of Nestle Toll House Cookie Dough in the house at all times, but it was just too tempting.  It's just so easy to make cookies at a moment's notice, or to simply eat it straight out of the tub (ohhhhh raw cookie dough is so amazingly sinful!!).  This is great to have around just in case you need to bring snacks or dessert over to a friends and don't have time to make something homemade.  I do not know anyone who can turn down milk and cookies, especially fresh from the oven.  Nestle Toll House Cookie Dough is so easy to make, but it's also easy to store.  This tub fits nicely into the refridgerator and doesn't roll around like the tubes of cookies do at times.  If you want to be really decadent, put a bit of frosting or ice cream between two cookies and have yourself an incredibly sinful and delicious cookie sandwich - I won't tell, promise! No judgment here.

Nestle Cookie Dough has weird taste.

3

This dough tastes a little weird to me, not anywhere near as good as making the dough from scratch. The cookies came out with the same weird taste. I would recomend buying a different brand or just making the dough from scratch and storing it in a tube because this dough really doesn't do chocolate chip cookies justice.

They've Always Been a Family Favorite

Feeling down? Someone hurt your feelings? Craving a way to fulfill your empty feeling?  Grab a cookie... *Nestle Tollhouse Cookies that is.* I have no problem admitting it. Whenever I am feeling a little blue, snack foods are my comfort. I know thats just awful, solves nothing... but hot steamy melting chocolate chip cookies always warm me up and will at least put a temporary fix on the issue. So long as I don't over indulge though, all is well. When I came across a family sized tub at our local Warehouse Club, I tossed it in the cart. Besides these making great comfort snacks for when I was having a bad day, they would also be awesome for parties. Besides the tub is huge,,, enough in there for a frigging bakery sale. The dough is packed into the jug, and is supposed to be spooned out, and shaped (if you want). What I love about Nestle Toll House Cookies is that the chocolate chips are hefty large chunks...  nothing small or piddly like other cookie dough brands. Overall, they taste great, there is plenty in there for the whole family, and half of the neighborhood.

I Learned Some New Ways to"Use this Cookie Dough" from a friend

4

**Nestle Toll House Cookie Dough Family Size Tub** - I have learned a few new ways to make this tub a little different than the directions called for and some neat new recipes. I was shopping for cookie things at the store I had the chips and other type stuff in my cart,(My kids love mixing up the ingredients). I ran into a friend at the store that has a bunch of little toddlers at her feet that only had the tubs of nestle toll house cookies, and a tub of sugar cookies already made. She said to me to **the secret to** **getting a soft-bakery style cookie** is to turn the oven a little lower to 325, and cook it a little slower...really..??? Someone with no time on thier hands had some great tips.It really worked a softer cookie and bigger like the store bought bakery ones....Don't ya love it when you run into friends at the right moment and they share something you never knew :)) And if you have ever attended a pampered chef party you know this one with the tart shaper and a muffin pan, scoop small amounts into a mini muffin pan about half full,Bake, push tart shaper in each cookie, fill with which ever you choose , a mini spoon of vanilla Ice Cream & drizzle with nuts and hot fudge :),  There are bunch of ways to fill the little tart shaped cups... even with  chocolate frosting like I attended at the party looks really fancy.   This big tub can be found at  some grocery stores, and warehouse food stores. What I love about it most is that you can make a little or alot with this tub,and with a family or party gatherings this tub can sure come in handy and will offer many servings compaired to the smaller sized tubs.and you  can throw it in your freezer until your ready to use it if you like.

Toll House is not the favorite dough in this house.

In the wintertime Mr Bugg and I love to enjoy a few freshly baked cookies as our evening snack.  So we go through a few rolls of slice and bake cookie dough each month.  It's very convenient to just slice 3 or 4 and bake them in the toaster oven. We generally buy the Kroger brand or Pillsbury but last time I went shopping there was a great sale on the family size tub of Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip cookie dough and the side of the tub read "Make more than 3 dozen delicious NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Chocolate Chip cookies from the NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Family Size Tub. Just scoop, place and bake all the cookies you want, then snap on the resealable lid. So many cookies... so much fun!!!" That statement sold me so I bought the tub thinking it would last us the whole month.  Well it did last the whole month but we did not care for the flavor or texture and found that we prefer the Kroger brand.  The Nestle dough has kind of an odd, honeyish taste to it and was just too sugary.  Also, the dough is very, very hard which caused problems with scooping and with baking.  With the sticks of dough I usually cut slices or stick my cookie scoop inside of the plastic sleeve and can extract the soft dough without any problem. But with the Nestle dough it was so hard that I had to struggle to get the scoop into the dough.  It was like the consistency of hard ice cream.  Not impossible, but difficult to scoop.  And when I cooked the dough per the directions I had to add extra time (a lot of extra time) to the total baking time as the dough was so dense.  Bottom line - we do not like the taste of this dough (cooked or raw), it's more expensive than Kroger or Pillsbury, and it's too hard to scoop.  Giving this three stars as it's kind of average and there are other brands I prefer.  But I don't really recommend it.  If it were the last cookie on Earth I'd eat it but I wouldn't buy it again otherwise.
