I have difficulty sleeping at night. I have had sleeping problems for years. After hearing many of my friends sing the praises of Melatonin, I decided to give Melatonin a try. I can report that it did make me very sleepy. I did fall asleep very fast but work up around three in the morning and could not get back to sleep. I was actually wide awake and felt like I had slept all night long. Except it was three in the morning. I wasscared to take another pill so I stayed in bed feeling absolutely miserable. I tried everything I could think of to help me fall back asleep but nothing worked. I felt like a zombie the entire day. I had huge circles under my eyes and looked horrible. Several co-workers actually asked me if I was feeling alright. I thought it may be a one time occurrence so a week later I tried taking Melatonin again with the exact same results. I can say that these pills did make me go to sleep but they really messed with my sleep patterns.
