Mallard Duck plush is a hit in our house

I've had a problem with buying too many dog toys since I got my first dog 13 years ago, I reluctantly admit it. My dogs have gone thru a lot of toys some brands just don't stand up very well with being played with to much. When I first saw the Multipet International Migrators Plush Mallard Duck I thought it was adorable and was very pleased to find it had a grunter/honker inside instead of the standard squeaker not to mention it even kind of sounds like a duck, needless to say I bought two. They soon became the dogs favorite toys to play with, I even used to take one to my dogs training class to use as a reward. The Mallard Ducks have held up fairly while the last couple of years, although I have needed to sew them back up a couple of times and I think the one might be missing both it's feet. My puppy just recently dug one of them out of the toy box and has been playing with it nonstop. The Migrators Plush Mallard Duck is definitely worth buying if you can find them.

A favorite toy for dogs.

To be fair, I did not rate it a 5 because my dog managed to pull some of the stuffing out; however, she is very hard on toys. The Kong rubber toys are the most durable. Her favorite are softer, stuffed toys though. She loves the squeaker which managed to stay in place for a month. I have to admit originally I was a bit disappointed in this toy. After buying several other comparable toys, I now realize this seems to be the most durable stuffed toy on the market. It is also more reasonably priced. I am going to buy her another. I do stitch them up as well. This toy kept her far busier and lasted ten times as long as other toys. I highly recommend it.

The only toy my dog plays with!

We found our dog abondened deep in the snowy woods.  He has been a wonderful dog, even with our two little children.  We have tried many toys with him including the Kong, tennis balls, Nyla bones and more.  It wasn't until we got him the Migrator that he actually started playing with a toy!  All we have to do is quack it and he goes crazy!!  He plays fetch with it, hides it in the couch cushions, and sometimes sleeps with it!  He has the duck, goose and pheasant, but the duck is still his favorite!  Well worth the money!!

Honk, honk - you'd think it was a real mallard!

My retrievers love plush toys, and they make a point of trying to make them squeak. They'll actually lie on the floor and mouth their toys until they produce the desired squeaking sounds - then jump up excitedly and bounce around, squeaking the entire time. For variety, we got a couple of these Multipet plush mallard ducks. These ducks have held up remarkably well for over two years. Best of all, they don't squeak - they HONK! The sound is fairly realistic, and it's fun to tell the dogs to go "honk" rather than "squeak." These come in larger sizes (which I have) for bigger dogs, but I've also seem smaller ones as well. They are relatively inexpensive, but I haven't had to replace them yet because they seem to be quite durable. To be fair, my dogs are not aggressive when it comes to chewing on plush. However, in the past I have had some other toys that have been poorly stitched at the seams, resulting in stuffing coming out.

Quack Quack - here comes the dog with his Mallard Duck

I have to admit my dog is spoiled - he's got far too many toys and most of them he doesn't play with. In his four years he's gone through 2 of these ducks. He loves this toy !!! The noise it makes is realistic and he spends hours making it quack. When he's bored he'll grab his duck and come up and ram it into your leg so it quacks and gets your attention. To him it means "look at me I want to play!" And who can resist - it's just far too cute. My dog isn't a destructor - he's fairly gentle on his toys. However considering the amount of time he plays with this one I'm very impressed at how well it holds up. The first thing to go is usually the quacker, but considering he's had 2 in four years I think it's great value !! It's a solid stuffed animal with strong stitching. I would definately recommend this toy for any dog ! The only downside would be the noise, I could see how it could drive someone crazy if they had an aversion to it !

The durable duck

My puppy plays with this non stop.  she is an english bulldog but you would think she is a lab the way she plays with this stuff.  The squeaky variety I have had to take away from her at night because she loves to hear the sound that the squeak makes.  its a really durable duck as well the squeaker still works even after having the tight jaws of an english bulldog bite and grind on it.  The fur and cloth for the duck is durable as well and doesnt show signs of wear.  the only thing that is worn is the tag that tells you how to wash the thing lol.  it gets matted down with slobber but I toss it into the wash without any detergant and it cleans right up.  she attacks it and loves it.  I would recommend it as its very good deal and Ollies has them for a really good price which is where I got mine.  I wouldnt hesistate to go back and buy another if this one ever gives out which at this rate I am thinking it may out live the dog!

Is it really a duck?

This toy sounds so real that the dogs go crazy!  I have one big dog and several small guys but everyone loves this toy.  A friend of mine has 2 small terriers and they both love their duck as well. I would, of course, caution anyone with a chewer because this is a plush toy; however, my dogs love it so much, I don't think that they will tear it apart.  Great toy and a break from the squeakers.  Would make a good present for your dog friends.
