Mirapex is great for restless legs syndrome

5

Approximately 5 years ago I was having a terrible time sleeping. I would sometimes go whole nights without sleeping at all. My legs were very uncomfortable. I could not keep them still. I went from the bed to the couch, to the loveseat, to the floor trying to get some relief and keep my legs still. I was even referred to a sleeping clinic where I was monitored a whole night with different sensors hooked up to my legs, head, and arms. The diagnosis was just determined as Insomnia. I was sharing these results with one of my sisters, who told me that she was diagnosed with restless leg syndrome and that her physican had started her on Mirapex. I went to my family doctor and told him abou this. He prescribed Mirapex for restless legs syndrome. Mirapex has been my miracle prescription! I now sleep soundly, my legs are relaxed and I dont get up at night with leg cramps, restlessness, or suffer uncomfortable feeling in my legs. Mirapex was the answer to my prayers regarding my sleeplessness!

Great product for RLS

5

I take Mirapex for RLS.  It works wonders for my symptoms.  It is a very expensive medicine if you don't have health insurance (which I don't).  I wrote to the pharmaceutical company that makes it and now then send me a 3 month supply for free.  Every 3 months my doctor calls them and they refill it for me.  I would recommend this product to anyone who has RLS.

A very good medication for RLS! Don't go to bed without it!

I was diagnosed with RLS a few months ago, prior to that, I had visited many websites as well as joined a support group on Facebook for this condition. There is still a lot of unknowns with dealing with RLS, but it's getting there. I was first put on Requip, all it really did was make me sleepy and sick, so wore seasick bands and always took it and went straight to bed. When I complained to the doctor about the nausea, he changed me over to Mirapex. It has been a God send. It stops the creepy crawlys and allows me to have a good nights sleep. Take one tab a few hours before bed time that way it has time to get into your system. A word of caution when taking this medication, if you take this and have to drive soon afterwards, make sure you have alternate arraingments made. Mirapex will relax you and make you very sleepy. (Which in my case it's a good thing because I don't usually sleep well)

Without this medication, I would not ever sleep.

Before I found Mirapex, I had never heard of Restless Leg Syndrome. I just knew that My legs would jerk and move on their own. I would sometimes wake up feeling as if spiders were crawling on my legs. I had an unnatural desire to run or exercise my legs while I was sleepy. Then I heard about Restless leg Syndrome from my Doctor and it all made sense. I began taking this medication and right away the crawling, unnatural energetic feelings my legs went away. For the first time I got a full nights rest. This medication had no side effect's whatsoever on me. I do not know what I would do without this medicine. I understand that Requipt is also for Restless Leg Syndrome. My doctor told me that Mirapex is stronger than Requipt and is longer lasting. Now my husband and I sleep together as he could not sleep with me before because of my condition. I have noticed that the Mirapex relaxes me a little after taking it and I no longer dread night time. This is the best medication for Restless Leg Syndrome. If you are experiencing this problem ask your doctor and get a good nights rest. Its worth it. The patent has yet to run out, therefore, Mirapex does not come in generic. It is a bit expensive but staying up all night and facing the next day is as well.

keeps involuntary movement at bay

5

I am a personal caregiver for a long term patient diagnosed with Parkinsons which is now in the latter stages of the disease.  What the person experiences is an excess of involuntary movements such as rocking, circling, even sometime to the extent of kicking up and down in extreme situations.  The doctor prescribed several medications which  were keeping the disease under control but it always seemed to persist and the involuntary movement periods would arise from time to time.  By no means are they of the norm and it is even distressing to witness the patient when they are experiencing their symptoms. The doctor then prescribed mirapex which is one of the newest drugs on the market for parkinsons and involuntary movement and we have found it to be very effective.  I now don't know where she would be without it it has helped a great deal.  The drawbacks is it is a costly med and still under patent so there are no generic forms available.  But definitely worth the results.

mirapex medication

i am writing a review on prescription drug called mirapex. now some of you out there who have never been on medication i am happy for you. But mine is a very long  story which i will try not to bore you with, but the ones out there who are this is for you if you have leg pain. Now i am not saying that this is the right solution for you because there are many different types of leg pain. But this is my short bio about my leg pain and how i finally found the right doctor. So here it goes, about 15 years ago i was having some pain in my joints, and with no help in this town i was sent to a larger clinic. and when i mention my pain, he had me watch a short movie and then was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which is not a good thing to have. So when i got that figured out and put on meds. for sleep i did good. Well a few years later i was being woke up at night with tingling in my legs, and i thought now what. And told my doctor and she said it was restless leg syndrome and was put on neurontin for it and it helped for awhile. then i started waking up at night with my legs hurting and could not keep them still even trying to lay different, but it did not help to even move them around. So i was sent to a specialist who said it was my firbromyalgia so i was put on anti inflammatory medication and tried 3 different types with no help. So my family doctor put me on pain medication, and it did help but i was getting zoned out from it. so i was sent to then another doctor who figured it out that with RLS you can get awful pain. So was put on the mirapex and i am so thankful for it because they found the right drug for this awful pain. But what i am trying to say is get a second opinion because there is no reason to suffer, and if you have a question please write. Dee

Mirapex has worked wonders.

I have suffered from restless leg sydrome for many years. In the past it happened infrequently, but November 2008 it turned into a every night thing. Nobody in my family could understand what i was going thru. I would wake up in the middle of the night with a aching feeling in my legs.  My family could not understand what i was going thrul. I would stomp my feet on the floor, hold my legs up , I would even ask my husband to beat on them. To have him actualy hitting on my legs relieved the ache.  It was horrible and frustrating to deal with night after night. Anyway on a regular visit to my primary care physchian, i brought it up. I explained the way they ached, and how i needed to constantly move my legs . She then diagnosed me with RLS. And prescribed to me, MIrapex. It has work fantastic for me and I woul highly recommend it to anyone and everyone who suffers with RLS. Also I experienced no side effects .

Mirapex is a wonderful drug for RLS. When you have RLS for over 30 years you think that is just the way you will have to live, but along comes Mirapex and the results are amazing from the ver first dose.

Legs bother you at night, mirapex is the one for you

Restless leg syndrome, Mirapex does work.  It is a prescription medicine, but it is worthwhile to ask your doctor about it..  For severe RLS it does work just watch the other meds you are on .. It doesn't work with some other medications. But your doctor will know about  which ones will work and which ones will not, it is worth taking...Mirapex
