most powerful and best ultraportable

5

Best ultraportable laptop all around 1. very light weight 2. powerful processor. Even better with the i7 processor 3. LED screen 4. SSD worth the upgrade. Windows 7 boots in no time 5. very solid build. 6. very quiet, not hot 7. battery life very good for the cpu 8. keyboard was full size. A not so frequent feature in a laptop this small. 9. dual trackpad and trackpointer. Bought one refurbished with full warranty. Like new, cannot tell at all. Not so good: 1. price. with an i7, extra memory, and SSD it can be very pricey. Suggest to look into a used or refurbished product. 2. it is not necessarily the most attractive looking laptop out there, with a boring black appearance all round. 3. It doesn't have a DVD drive, for thos that need this feature. 4. small screen and a relatively low resolution is a drawback. Most screen, even ultraportables are up to 1440x900 nowadays, making multitasking much easier.

Good laptop!

I love the battery life on this laptop, which was the number one reason why I decided to switch laptops from m old Dell Inspiron 600m. Opting for the 9-cell battery, the weight is a bit higher, but the laptop can last for all day when I use it!   The screen size is a bit small, but the laptop can easily connect to a larger monitor I have at home, so I only need to worry about the screen size when on-the-go.  Also, the processors are plenty powerful for most of what I need to do with it (word processing, a bit of photoshop image work, etc.)  I have some problems with heat sometimes when I run linux on it (I have it so I dual boot both Windows and Linux), but hopefully that will be fixed in some future updates for Linux.  The speakers inside the laptop are actually pretty reasonable quality, in my opinion, and definitely good enough for watching videos and listening to music. But then again, I'm not very picky, so your mileage may vary. Overall, I'm very happy with this laptop!
