Lenovo t510 needs improvements
The t510 is a workhorse, don't get me wrong, but it certainly lacks some significant things that will leave you wondering what the designers were thinking. Usb slots are first to come to mind. Why aren't there any on the back or opposite sides of the machine. When working in closed spaces, sometimes you can only reach to one side of the laptop. USB slots on each side could oversome this. Also, movement of the ctrl key! That's the worst decision, ctrl+c, ctrl+f4, the list is endless of my uses for the control key, moving it to the right, and moving the function button to the leftmost position always makes my pinkie hit the wrong key...FAIL!. And finally a lack of bluetooth in an intel i5 machine with 4GB ram, and a 500GB hard drive makes no sense. Why put all the power and leave off such a tiny peripheral function? Ultimately its these little things that cause me to dislike the unit. Sadly I was buying for performance at the time and didn't realize how much the little things can hold you back when you buy only for power. Last thing...it's really wide, and the speakers are underpowered.
