I was on the lookout for a water kettle that could heat up water quickly for me to use for my baby's bottles. This one does the job just fine! It heats up water in an instant, and has an automatic shut off where once the water boils, the heating mechanism turns off on its own and therefore is really safe to use in case one forgets about the boiling water. On top of making my baby's bottles I have started using it for instant coffee as well. I do not own a coffeemaker, so this little electric kettle was perfect for the occasional cup of coffee.

   This Stainless Steel Krups AquaControl Cordless Electric Kettle is a breeze to use, and I truly enjoy using it every morning to brew coffee and sometime again later in the day for tea. After filling with a quality filtered water (no tap water - the chemicals alter the waters taste), you just set it on the base and push the on button. It automatically turns itself off when the water begins to boil. After turning it on I grind my coffee beans and place them in my coffee press for a perfect cup of coffee. I also use me coffee press with loose tea to steep the perfect cup of tea.

The Krups Electric Kettle was a gift to me and at first, I wondered why and how I would use it. I always used a glass container in the microwave to heat water. I soon learned that the quality built Krups Electric Kettle was useful and would become invaluable to me. The water it heats stays warm for some time which is the main benefit over microwave heating. It is an attractive unit for kitchen counter top display. It is better than watching a teapot kettle on the stove. It will not burn. I have used mine every day for years and it is still going strong. The outside is modern looking and very easy to keep clean which is a major plus for me. I love that it heats the water super hot and you do have to use care when handling it which is common sense.

I once owned the most expensive Russell Hobbs electric kettle that could be purchased in this country. It wasn't my first Russell Hobbs, but it was my last because we used that thing until it was just not usable any more and Russell Hobbs was sold and the kettles couldn't be purchased here any longer. So I was at my wit's end trying to find a replacement. Our electric kettle is used several times a day. With the automatic shut off feature the kids could use it when they were younger (the youngest is now 18 so I am not letting my 2 year old use it) and I didn't have to worry that they left the gas stove on, that the house was burning down because the kettle was being ignored as the water all steamed out, etc. It is also energy efficient. I didn't want a cheap plastic kettle. The water tastes funny. I also didn't need to buy the most expensive one on the market - again. The Krups does an excellent job of heating water quickly. It looks good in the kitchen and I love that it is cordless. We rarely use the water control temp feature, but if the kettle is on the table and people are making tea, hot chocolate at different times we might. Krups makes a quality product at a good price.

I had never used an electric kettle until a couple of months ago while visiting a friend. She is a major tea drinker, and said she could not live without this kettle. I couldn't see why one wouldn't just us a teapot until she turned it on and we were having tea a few minutes later! It's so fast, and the water is always the perfect temperature. I will never be without one again!

After melting yet another teapot on my stove top I decided to get an electric kettle. This one has a real quality feel to it. It heats the water much faster than a stove top kettle and it's insulated so the water will stay at temperature for a long time even if you don't use the Hold Temperature feature. It automatically shuts itself off after the water reaches temperature so there is no danger of it burning itself out which was my primary reason for buying it. Frankly it's cheaper brother, which cost half as much, probably does just as good a job. I opted for this one because the automatic lid opener operated so smoothly on this one, it was a little rougher on the cheap one, and I like gadgets and this one lots of buttons. So if you are a gadget freak who isn't particularly price sensitive get this one, if you are more interested in value for your money then get it's cheaper brother. Awesome Purchase!
