So much better than the regular baby powder, here's why...

By

from USA

Comments about Johnson's Pure Cornstarch Baby Powder - Aloe Vitamin E:

I have always been a baby powder user for myself. For many years I sprinkled the powder on after showers or baths to help my skin to feel drier. I would probably still be using the regular, but am not. Here's why.

I was able to learn quite a bit about J&J Pure Cornstarch Baby Powder with Aloe and Vitamin E when my Mom became ill and had to be moved into a nursing home. I was there when she was bathed and noticed that the baby powder that was being used was the Cornstarch Baby Powder by Johnson's. I asked the nurse about it because at that time I had never seen it before. She explained that, especially with elderly, the cornstarch helps keep the skin from breaking down. When damp skin lays on damp skin (stomach folds, thighs touching, breasts laying on chest) for extended periods of time, the skin can begin to break down and infection can occur. The regular baby powder is made with ingredients that do not withstand the time that will keep moisture from occurring like the cornstarch does. She also explained that baby powders were made with a talc that is finer than cornstarch. This powder can be inhaled easier and could hinder breathing, again especially in the elderly who already may have breathing problems.

I was amazed and convinced that I would switch to the cornstarch baby powder. I am of a somewhat large size and knew that I could only benefit and prevent any problems with my skin. I have used Johnson's Pure Cornstarch Baby Powder ever since and I love it!

When I apply it I can feel a difference in the consistency, the cornstarch is a little heavier and yet smoother. I love the way it spreads and doesn't dissolve when it hits damp skin. I find it lasts much longer, keeping me drier for longer periods of time. I am not very tolerant to hot temperatures, yet with the cornstarch baby powder I don't get all clammy and really feel cooler.

I recommend this cornstarch baby powder with aloe and vitamin E to anyone who suffers from any type chaffing or body perspiration that is persistent and uncomfortable. I also highly recommend it for use on the elderly or babies who are prone to having layers of skin touching skin for long periods of time.

Johnson's Corn Starch

Comments about Johnson's Pure Cornstarch Baby Powder - Aloe Vitamin E:

This is not baby powder. This is powder for the whole family. When I had my first child years ago, no one told me about the dangers of using talcum powder. It can cause damage and breathing problems in newborns and infants. So I quickly changed to corn starch powders only, and Johnson's was at the top of the list. First off the scent is amazing. Who doesn't love the smell of a baby with Johnson's on them? Next is the texture, it is like pure silk. It is not gritty, just silky. I have never had this powder clump. This powder can be used anywhere on the body, inner thighs, stomach, and of course the diaper area on babies. It is great to take this to the pool or beach in the summer, after a day in the sand you can use the powder to clean off. I always use right after a shower on a daily basis to keep smelling fresh. It is great for absorbing sweat or moisture. It never clumps on the skin, and always leaves a fresh, clean scent. I always had a small bottle in the diaper bag when my kids were young. Highly recommend!

Great For Adults Too!

By

from Hartford, CT

Comments about Johnson's Pure Cornstarch Baby Powder - Aloe Vitamin E:

Even though I don't have any children in diapers in the house I always keep a container of this powder in my bathroom.

This is an essential product for hot, humid summers. It prevents chafing and irritation caused by heat and sweat buildup and keeps you feeling fresh and dry.

I liberally apply this as soon as I step out of the shower, all summer long. It goes on smoothly and leaves me feeling much fresher throughout the remainder of the day.

Even when sweating after applying it it does not clump up or create any irritation. It is great for sprinkling on before putting on underthings. I also sprinkle a bit in my sneakers to keep them feeling fresh and to keep my feet from getting too sweaty.

I especially love that this is a talc free powder. It is made from cornstarch which is much healthier for the body. It also doesn't have an overpowering or unnatural scent which is a definite plus.

I highly recommend this for adults and babies alike!

We Use This For Summer Chafing

By

from Podunk, NY

Comments about Johnson's Pure Cornstarch Baby Powder - Aloe Vitamin E:

Although my kids are out of the diaper stage, we often keep a container of Johnson's Corn Starch Skin Protector in the bathroom cabinet because sometimes there are chafing issues that need some help.

Performance
Although it does not help for long periods of time, this powder is often what will help on the inner thigh area between legs when it is hot and the skin rubs and gets raw and irritated. Just applying some of the powder to the inner thigh area will keep the area from rubbing for a few hours anyway until we can either apply more or until we are in air conditioning again. It is quite helpful under bra areas too if they get a bit chafed.

Great natural product

By

from Catlettsburg, KY

Comments about Johnson's Pure Cornstarch Baby Powder - Aloe Vitamin E:

Johnson and Johnsons baby power that is made from cornstarch is a great natural product to be used in areas that can have rashes or chafe. I love the baby powder smell of this product and I love how it is made from natural cornstarch. There have been numerous studies that the other baby powder that was popular years ago was made of mica or minerals that can be harmful if breathed in. This baby powder is made of all natural cornstarch which is a food product anyway so it should be relatively safe when used as directed. I found it useful to put a little under my 5 month old babies arms where the skin rubs. It is also useful to prevent redness or moisture around the diaper area. The baby powder smell is really nice and it makes baby’s skin feel soft and smooth. I still have diaper cream to use when needed but the baby powder is nice to have on hand as well. It is good to have several products to choose from available in your baby supplies.

Helps so Much!

By

from Cabot, AR

Comments about Johnson's Pure Cornstarch Baby Powder - Aloe Vitamin E:

My poor baby use to have horrible diaper rash and we tried everything. We tried all the creams, creams our doctor gave us, everything. Nothing was helping and I hated knowing my little one was in pain and there was nothing I could do about it. Then my sister recommended Johnson's Baby Powder with Cornstarch and it worked like a charm. I was nervous using powder on my daughter since she was so young but I was very careful and once we started using Johnson's Baby Powder with Cornstarch her diaper rash started clearing up. The cornstarch is a wonderful skin protector and we could tell that our daughter was no longer in so much pain. Almost all of the little Johnson & Johnson travel kits of baby items now come with this powder instead of the original one so it was easy to get a small bottle (or two...we got alot of the travel kits). I keep one in the diaper bag, one in the bathroom and the large bottle is of course on her changing table. This is the only powder we will use for our daughter.

Try it and you will be amazed.

By

from Newton, KS

Comments about Johnson's Pure Cornstarch Baby Powder - Aloe Vitamin E:

In my experience with corn starch I would have to say I am amazed that it works. I used cornstarch on my first child, always had real bad rash. I thought I should try it on my second child also. Told my sister to use it her infant, she tried it liked it. There is no burning no creamy mess. Sprinkle it on let it work. Use It at every diaper change or just when you have a sore butt. Cost  less than the real cream. Last a long time. I will never use diaper cream again. Try it and you'll never go back!
