The Infantino ComfortRider Baby Carrier is a great carrier for young or small babies. When my son was younger he loved this carrier. Several months ago, he was 18lbs and I tried to put him in this carrier and he was way too big, i wouldn't even snap closed. So, do not believe it when it says it goes up to 22lbs. It's a great lower cost option, but the price difference from the front-2-back or wrap&tie carrier is not that much. I would just get a carrier that went up to a higher weight to get the most out of my money. Also, the warp& tie is much more comfortable than the comfort rider. The comfortrider is comfortable, but if the straps are in the wrong place on your back, you will definitely have some back pain. Before I had the wrap&tie, I was much happier with my ComfortRider because I didn't know what I was missing. However, the ComfortRider is great for front carrying your young baby and does have better support for young babies heads. My baby really did enjoy riding in this carrier when he was younger. That's why I gave this an average rating, because I am torn on this review. lol

I am a big fan of infantino products but this carrier is not one of their better products. There are quite a few clips to secure the straps and it takes a while to do, so it is hard to do it by yourself while getting the baby in safely. We could never get the straps adjusted to where our son would fit securely against either of us. He always kind of leaned out from our bodies. When he was really small I carried him around in it a few times and he fell asleep, but my back ached afterwards because the weight distribution is not very good. I think this is a decent carrier for smaller babies, but the weight limit is very little and so the baby outgrows it pretty quickly. If I am going to spend the money on a carrier I would really like for it to last for a while. Also the front flap would never stay down. Once we moved our son to front facing the flap always hit him in the face and we had to constantly hold it down.

I had purchased an older Infantino baby carrier at a garage sale before my baby was born.  Unfortunately, it didn't provide the support my back needed.  I found this ComfortRider carrier in the clearance section at a store and couldn't pass it up.  The extra support for my back is great. I am able to wash dishes, cook, and take care of laundry while wearing my baby.  This has also been a great asset when shopping.  It's great for mall shopping as my daughter is too young to ride in the stroller I have.   It's not difficult to place the baby in the carrier and resize it to fit baby or my body.  My daughter is currently about 14 pounds and this will support her until she weighs in at 22 pounds.  I've only worn it with her facing inward, but will soon try this with her facing outward.  This is easy to clean also with a damp cloth or toss into the washer. Follow the directions to set up or it could prove to be confusing.  My husband picked it up and couldn't figure out how to wear it without the directions.  My only negative comments are regarding the removable bib.  It just seems so tiny and cheap so I removed it.  When my baby is screaming and kicking it can be a little difficult to remove her from this carrier.  I bend over and unsnap and gently place her back onto the couch.  This could be a bit more difficult if she were facing outward.

The Infantino Baby Carrier has criss cross padded shoulder straps and a strap that goes around the waist to evenly distribute the baby's weight. It is made of a  durable, light-weight breathable fabric. My favorite part is the extra strap that goes around the waist. Even the more expensive carriers didn't have this key feature. Having the baby's weight evenly distributed means the baby feels lighter and you can carry the infant more comfortably for longer periods of time. Bonus: No back ache! It also has easy to open clips that easily allow you to put the baby in and out of the carrier unassisted. I would definitely reccomend the Infantino ComfortRider Baby Carrier above all the other carriers out there!
