Hostess Zingers are a cream-filled sponge cake that comes in three delicious flavors: vanilla, chocolate, and raspberry coconut. The vanilla and chocolate snack cakes come with a layer of icing on the top; whereas, the raspberry coconut one has a moist, raspberry coating, covered with flaked coconut. I like all three, depending on my mood. However, my "anytime-is-a-good-time" favorite is the raspberry coconut. Enjoy!

Zingers are my favorite Hostess cakes. They're a lot like Twinkies (almost identical really) only they have a more square shape to them like a traditional piece of cake, and have a layer of frosting on top. I feel like Zingers are the original snack cake that inspired the Weight Watchers snack cakes. The frosting is a similar consistency and the cake is very spongy.

These treats are okay. The taste is okay and the treats are moist. They aren't very original. Very similar to the classic Twinkie. The main difference is the thick layer of textured frosting on top of the cake. Snack cakes come individually wrapped.

I first tried the Hostess - Zingers at work because they are in the snack machine. After that first one I was absolutely hooked. They are a moist cake with icing on top and crème filled. I mean it is really hard to just eat one of these snacks. This is a family favorite of ours and we have to hide them from the kids.

I'm not sure if the product listing was for all zinger types or just for the vanilla kind. I've never tried the vanilla kind but I have tried and love both the rasperry and the chocolate kind. You can chomp them down right after eating a bag full of hot and spicy chips. That's what I do.

These are wonderful! They taste just like moist cake with cream in the middle. The chocolate zingers are my favorite, but the vanilla ones are really good too. I was sad when they took these out of stores because no other brand makes these, but I hear they are coming back. The price was good for how many you got in a box and they made a great dessert!

These are sooooo good.  Alot of people don't like coconut but the cocount is so light on these you can't even really taste ti.  There is just enough filling in the middle, like a twinkie.  They aren't too overpowering.  I highly recommend these as a quick light snack.

if you have never tried these wonderful snack cakes, you must! and soon! they are a chocolate cake with vanilla filling with chocolate icing on top. they should taste just like hostess chocolate cupcakes, but they are so much moister. this is what makes the difference. they are small tho, usually only 3 bites to finish. at 150 calories per cake, tho you can't afford to overindulge. because they are so small and light, i usually end up eating 2 at a time. 300 calories for a desert is not terrible tho. these are just the perfect balance of chocolate and cream in the middle. so so good!
