Our electric knife of many years wore out and we had put off buying one for some time. I finally got around to looking for a new one. Ended up buying the Hamilton Beach Electrid Knife Model 74275. It was on sale and the price was great. the knife came in a case that has proven quite useful. I didn't think that we would use the case but you know it is handy to have the blades, the knife, the cord all in one place. The knife is sharp, does a good job slicing and makes cutting that ham or turkey a breeze. I really like the way that this knife allows you to cut thiner slices for when you are cutting meat for sandwiches. The knife comes apart easily and makes clean up a breeze. Then its back in its storage case ready for the next time. Great knife at any price.

During holidays and family gatherings in my home, it falls to me to carve the turkey or ham. My old electric knife had given out after many years of use, so my mom gave me the Hamilton Beach Classic Electric Knife with Case 74275. It works well but I have to be very careful with it as it is a bit awkward to use. I have also found it a little difficult to carve meat into very thin slices with the HB knife. Our kids are reaching the age, we need to provide holiday traditions. I decided my husband who loves to entertain and could do stand-up comedy, should participate by carving the turkey and Christmas meat. I shopped around for an Electric Carving Knife. It needed to look good and carve efficiently. My husband tried it on the nuclear family's Thanksgiving Turkey. The kids loved Dad's stick. It made the meal smoother. Then, he practiced his routine and carved any meats he could to improve his presentation for the Christmas ham. I began to worry, he might get carried away and the dual blades are sharp. I expressed my fear and he assured me the knife is easy to hold and he finds the grip comfortable. Christmas carving went over well and the knife works so silently, it did not take away from my husband's patter. I love the true easy of cleaning the knife. The product is dishwasher safe. One caution, again, the blades are sharp. Keep out of the reach of young children.

I would say any electric knife is a waste of money but I quickly changed my mind after trying to carve a turkey without one. Our Hamilton Beach Classic Electric Knife was a gift from someone for something. I really can't remember, I think all that hot sauce is melting my brain. So every Thanksgiving and Christmas I break this thing out of its case and let it go to work on the turkey. Easy to use and clean. But if we did not have turkey I would never use this thing and it be a waste because I can cut a ham just fine with a regular knife, it is just those darn turkeys I can't seem to cut right without an electric knife. But if this one ever stops working I will just buy whatever is the cheapest to replace it. As long as it works twice a year, that's all I will need it for and if I can convince my wife to not have turkey, then I will never need another electric knife ever again. But she really likes turkey so I will keep this one until it breaks and then just buy a cheap one to replace it.

We've been very pleased with our Hamilton Beach Electric Knife.  It's inexpensive, but performs beautifully.  No matter whether you're carving the Thanksgiving turkey, a large ham or a roast, you'll always have professional looking results (even if you don't know what you're doing!).  It's well worth purchasing, even if you'll only use it a couple times a year.

I have had this knife for a while now, and I love it.  I'm no expert carver but I do know that when everyone is over for Thanksgiving I can cut up two turkeys with no problem with this thing.  It also works great for cutting up panfish for a fish fry.  It comes apart easy which makes it easy to clean so there is one less thing to worry about after dinner.   As i said, I have had this for a couple years now and it has not slowed one bit.  It's still sharp and still cuts through turkey and fish like butter.   It's defiantly worth a buy if you are in the market for an electric knife.   It comes with a hard case that fits everything nice and snug.  It helps to keep it all in one spot, so you are not running around looking for where you put the blades right before guests come over.  I have used this knife countless times and it has always came through for me and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
