My wife has had this Hewlett Packard dv6928us Notebook for more than a year. In spite of the good specifications of the laptop, the expenrience with it is not very good. I do not know if the problems come due to the fact that it runs a Windows Vista operating system. But the truth is that its performance is not very good. It takes a lot of time to start, and this has being happening almost from the very beginning. A similar problem happens when you turn off the laptop, it takes a lot of time to do it. My wife only uses this laptop about three hours a day so the problem is not that it is working the whole day. In spite of that, the laptop makes a lot of noise. That might be a problem with the fan. The laptop is quite hot most of the times. Apart from this the laptop works well. Hewlett Packard is a good computer maker so I do not know if the problems with my wife's laptop are one exception. I guess sometimes some machines are just fawlty.
