I wanted a shampoo that wasn't going to make my hair too dry or too greasy. When I tried Giovanni's 50/50 shampoo I was instantly surprised at how moisturizing the shampoo was. On top of that it smells absolutely wonderful. A light citrus scent, not overpowering. I love that when I massage the shampoo into my hair, my fingers don't get tangled up in my long hair. Most shampoos I've come across are hard to work into a lather and the 50/50 makes my hair soft and it's easier to wash my hair. I also like the fact that it doesn't contain any harsh chemicals like parabens and sulfates so it works well with my colored hair. But the main features of the 50/50 shampoo is the moisturizing ability and the fragrances smells wonderful! I have finally found a shampoo that makes my hair soft and is easy to wash my hair with. I would recommend this product to anyone who has longer and thicker hair and is looking for good moisturizing qualities. If you've never tried Giovanni's hair care products before you really have to give them a try. They make products for all varieties and hair types.

I have a sensitivity to sulfates, which this shampoo does not contain. It lathers and rinses completely, does not leave a residue, and does not irritate my scalp. Once in awhile, I like to switch it up and use the tea tree oil cleanser from Giovanni.

I play a lot of outdoor sports so it is not unusual for me to wash my hair every day.  Because I perspire quite a bit, I feel I need a clarifying shampoo to get off the excess sweat and dirt from my hair.  I use a clarifying shampoo once a week and wanted to trying another brand.  I was web shopping and came across this brand, so I bought the full-sized product since it was on sale.  I'm glad I bought this.  I love the smell--can't quite figure it out, but smells somewhat like apple or maybe green tea?  After the first washing my hair felt squeaky clean.  I do use a light rinse-off conditioner with this product.   I will definitely buy this product again.
