I love Maybelline Garnier Fructis Style Brilliantine Wax!

5

I don't use a lot of product in my hair, but I just found Maybelline Garnier Fructis Style Brilliantine Water Based Shine Wax and I LOVE it!  I've used pomades in the past, they did the job, but I was never a real big fan and would usually revert to hairspray or hair gel.  I love the smell of this wax, the texture isn't oily and greasy since it's water-based.   My husband has been loyal to his brand of pomade for years, but after trying my Garnier Fructis Style Brilliantine Water Based Shine Wax, that's all he uses.  Not only did I find it on sale, I also used a coupon!  It's a great value and worth the price! (And an even better deal when Garnier Fructis offers coupons!)   I have straight and thin hair so I don't like to add much because it weights my hair down leaving me looking like a wet dog, but Maybelline Garnier Fructis Style Brilliantine Wax is lighter and holds my stray ends in place while helping me accomplish the look I'm going for. I'm a fan and would recommend it to anyone who would like to tame fly-aways and keep their hair they way they style it.

I use this product EVERYDAY!!!! I have really thin hair and it does not like to hold any product at all! I can honestly say that this product has no problem staying in my hair! I do have to use like 4 other products and a whole bunch of this but it is worth it for my look!

Works Great! Doesn't Last All Day Though

I have been using this stuff for a few months now. I like the way I can style my hair with it. It easily goes through my hair and allows me to shape my hair into whatever style I want. The one thing that isn't talked about much is the smell of hair styling products. When I open this stuff, I want to take a spoon and eat it. It smells so good! I know that may not be the most important thing, but you will appreciate it if you have ever had a poor smelling hair styling product. The only problem I have with this stuff is that it does not last all day. I would say you can start to notice the product failing to work after about 6-8 hours. I notice that I have to use more product to make it last all day. Overall, this is a great product though. You don't have to use a lot, especially if you only want style for a few hours each day. I recommend using this product with a little bit of water in your hair if your hair is long or else your hair will just stick up all over the place and be difficult to control.

Brilliantine is right!

Before finding this wax for my hair, I had gone through SO MANY different gels and pastes to get the right product to feel comfortable with my hair. The water based wax isn't too expensive, but for the price it is so worth it. It doesn't leave your hair feeling like it's been dumped with a bucket of glue. It doesn't make your hair look like you just came out of the shower either. You know those hair commercials where the hair literally shines? This does that. And it doesn't overdo it, making your hair look fake or anything like that. It just really makes it brilliant, really. Sometimes I wet my hands before putting it on, but since it is water based, I'm guessing it doesn't really need water first, but I'm used to it and it still has the same effect. If you've been looking for a great wax for your hair, either just for a shiny sleek look or to style it just enough, this is definitely a great choice at a great price.

Garnier Style Wax is good alternative to Hair Gel.

I have always used traditional hair gel for styling, but recently decided it created a look that was much to stiff and not very professional looking.  When I started reading up on some other options I found many people preferred a hair wax to a gel, and found Garnier's option to be the best for trial because it was so much less expensive than other brands.  I planned on switching to something more expensive later on if I liked the way the hair wax worked, but have been so pleased with Garnier that I don't feel the need to do this anymore.  Garnier lasts all day long, and gives me the firm and yet soft look that I was looking for.  Sometimes I do feel like it gets a little bit clumpy, which creates the same look as gel, but after a few uses this is easy to avoid.  I've also read some complaints about a build up in hair during and after use, but I have not personally experienced a problem with either of these things.  I would recommend to anyone.

I really enjoy Garnier Fructis Style Brilliantine Water Based Shine Wax. I began using it after a recommendation from a friend. I tried it once and was hooked. I have now been using it for over a year. Garnier Fructis Style Brilliantine Water Based Shine Wax is very reasonably priced and lasts a decent amount of time. You just put a small amount on your hands and rub them together them run your hands through your hari.  Very often you can also find a coupon to use on it in the newspaper or online. I also like the light scent that the product has. It helps keep fly aways in place. The shine wax leaves my hair shiny without making it look greasy like other products that I have used in the past. Another plus is that it does not leave my hair feeling sticky for the day. I would recommend Garnier  Fructis Style Brilliantine Water Based Shine Wax to anyone who is looking for a product that will help tame fly aways and keep your hair looking shiny.

Garnier Fructis Wax, used it once and never again

When I first learned about hair wax, I decided to give it try.  It was supposed to work just like gel but without the mess.  The first wax I saw was this, and it was pretty affordable so I bought it and immediately tried it out.  To start with, the wax looked pretty decent and had a nice smell to it.  It wasn't an overbearing smell, and it doesn't smell sickening sweet like some other Garnier Fructis products tend to smell.  I ended up applying a quarter sized amount to my hair and decided to keep it in while I was at home to test it before going out.  Let's just say it didn't go well.  My hair was still pretty frizzy and it didn't look shiny or healthy at all. It even felt pretty heavy and just wasn't a product for me. I wasn't impressed with this product to say the least and pretty much left the it in my bathroom to rot away after that use.  I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with frizzy or dry hair, because I fall in that category and it didn't make my hair shine at all!

Fructis Style water based wax is a waste of money

I love to try new hair products  and I am a sucker when something new comes out on the market promising to give you great looking hair and make your life easier.  This Garnier Fructis Style shine wax  is horrible in my opinion.  It does not keep your hair in place like it is suppose to It just makes it very filmy and feeling very dirty and heavy so it just falls flat!  It does shine however but my hair didn't look good and I just felt like I needed to wash my hair all day so it wouldn't feel so weighed down.  I usually like Garnier hair and styling products but this one was a big dissapointment.  It smells really good but if you go over it with a hot flat iron it stinks something awful!  I could not get the fishy smell out of my hair until I washed it out.Don't know why it would do that but It is not how I want my hair to smell.I can think of a lot of other products that I would much rather spend my money on .

Garnier Fructis Wax is amazing in a jar

There is only one way to describe this product. Amazing. My little girl has hair that is baby fine and thin but is curlier than Shirley Temple's. I struggled to find a product that could help her hair keep her ringlets without going crazy frizzy. This miracle cream puts hair where you want it and makes it stay put. It is fairly reasonable priced and a little dab goes a long way into keep your hair the way you want it. I wet my little girl's hair spread the wax throughout her hair and then I style it the way I want. It stays like a dream without anymore work than that. It is pretty sticky hair styler though, so it could get pretty messy if you aren't careful. I love that the color in the tub is green but it doesn't appear green on the hair. I would recommend this to anybody. I am a picky mom but I believe in this product so much that I am willing to use it on myself and on my daughter. It works in thick hair like mine and baby thin hair like hers.

Provides good hold.

I have used this product for over 6 months now, I bought it on the off chance that it would help me hair get the beachy look, or at least a more tamed look. My hair is naturally very thick , very coarse and very frizzy. In the past few months it has gone back to it's normal texture (after dying it blonde and dealing with a lot of weird in between phases) and is basically curly again, but sometimes just more wavy. I wasn't sure how this product would work because to be honest I have a lot of issues using products, they never seem to do what they are supposed to be. Maybe my hair is just as stubborn as I am :) But when I started using this product I just read the instructions and followed as closely as possible. The directions were clear, it said how much of the product to use and I just took a little of the product and rubbed it between my hands. Then I just grabbed sections and ran my hands thru my hair and that was really it. It does have a waxy feel on your hands, but in your hair it isn't too heavy. It didn't help with my frizz reduction, but it did help define my curls.
