We bought this microwave to replace our old one. Our old microwave used to sit on the counter and we needed more space. We decided to buy this one because it fits over the top of the oven and therefore saves a lot of space on the counter top. This has been a wonderful purchase. There are buttons on it that you can push to automatically start the time. For instance you can push the 1 button and it will cook the food for a minute. This is helpful to save time and not have to push a ton of buttons. This microwave has always cooked the food evenly and thoroughly. I also like the defrost button. It comes in handy if I need to defrost bread, meat and so on. There is a light on the bottom of the microwave that comes in two light settings. This is convenient to keep on during the night. There is also a timer on the microwave that can be used for whatever purpose you deem necessary. This microwave is very easy to clean. The glass that rotates where you set the food comes off and can be washed. This makes cleaning underneath it easy as well. All in all I would say this is a great product and well worth the purchase.

I have used this microwave when I was living at home, and now that I live on my own I have the exact same microwave. I have to say, it is a good quality microwave that lasts for a very long time. This is a over the range microwave that is good for small kitchens without a lot of counter space. It has the vent setting which I love, because I don't like the aromas of food penetrating into the couch. My only gripe is that it is pretty big and the design I feel is outdated. It has all the settings anyone may need to warm up food(even though the main one I use is express 30 sec). Very easy to use and would recommend to someone with white appliances and wants to save space.

The mircrowave does everything it is suppose to do only it is so LOUD. The noise is bothersome, so for that reason it rates low for me. If it were'nt for the loudness then it would of received a higher rating. Performance The microwave cooks and heats well. Has different settings for all types of food preparation. Heats quickly. Settings/Features Lots of settings for varies types of food. Easy to use. Not complicated at all. Ease of Cleaning As long as you clean after each use this microwave is easy to maintain. Ease of Use Easy to use. Durability The microwave appears to be durable. I have only had a few months and still works good only the darn thing seems to be getting louder! Design This microwave is not fancy looking. It fits well over the stove and compliments the area nicely.

I have this GE space-maker microwave in black and its great! The installation was really straight forward and we had no problems with installing this ourselves. I love the overall design and look of it. The easy convenience buttons are great! I love just pushing 1 for one minute, 2 for two minutes, 3, 4, 5 and 6 minutes. I like the location of the start and stop buttons. The only time I have trouble is when I setting the timer. If I forget to hit timer first and then the one it will start microwaving. Overall its a great microwave! Settings/Features love the one button minute feature

When we bought our house, it came with a GE Spacemaker Over-the-Range microwave installed over the stove in our kitchen. I was unsure of it at first, because we'd always used a big stainless microwave that sat on the counter, but since it was already there, I decided we might as well try it. I'm so glad we did. I love this microwave! I love the express cook buttons where you press "1" and it starts for 1 minute. That is so convenient! I also love the defrost, which I use all the time. This is also my first experience with the power level button, and it is very easy to use, which is great since toddler food usually can't be cooked on full power. But the thing that makes me the happiest about the microwave? I LOVE how easy it is to reset the clock when the power has gone out! That is one of my pet-peeves, and it has totally made me a happier gal!

This "over the range" microwave came already installed in our home. I do not like the GE range at all but the microwave has been surprisingly reliable. It's nice and spacious and also contains a rack which was unusual to me but comes in handy with some microwave meals. It has the usual convenient buttons such as popcorn, baked potato, defrost, etc. I like the face that shortcuts are included, I can press "1" and it automatically cooks for one minute. There's also a timer on the microwave that I can use without cooking anything. This has been extremely handy when I have something cooking in the oven and on the stovetop that both need to be timed. The best quality is just that fact that it is a spacesaver. With the microwave above the range I can have much more counter space.

This microwave was not one we purchased but one that came with our home. It goes over the range and though it does save counter space it is also very large. Most over the range microwaves are this size but it still seems to be a dominating part of the kitchen. It is great for larger serving sizes but if you only use your microwave for occasional heating then it is a bit much. In the past at other places my wife used the microwave so infrequently that it was put into storage till needed freeing up space in the kitchen and not being a eye sore. Other then the basic idea that you are radiating your food hot which is a big detractor to the appeal of a microwave, really there are a lot better and/or more attractive options avalible.

We purchased the GE Spacemaker over the range microwave over a year ago, along with our GE gas stove.  We didn't find a whole selection of Over the Range Microwaves, so chose this based on color, price and some nice features. It was really easy to install and works really well.  We like the "popcorn" button along with a few other convenience buttons.  Also, this microwave does 1-6 as quick start buttons.  If you push the #1, then the microwave will automatically start for 1 minute.  It eliminates the step of pushing cook time, the #, and then start.  But you can do this for customized times.  The only thing that drives me insane is the timer beeping.  I don't need it to beep every 30 seconds to remind me that the food is done.  Also, when you set the timer and it then goes off, you have to push timer and I always go for the Clear button and get a bunch of beeping.  I wish that the timer would turn off if you used the Clear button.  However, this must be for times when you are actually cooking with the microwave and then setting the timer for something else.  How often does that happen?  I would still recommend the microwave, as the beeping is just an annoyance.  It is overall a good machine and reasonably priced, as far as Over the Range Microwaves go.
