Latitude E6500 is the attitude!

5

I bought a Dell Latitude E6500 laptop about 9 months ago. It is a really great laptop. It has a 15.4 inch screen. The laptop may be a little heavy to carry around, but it fits my needs as a web site developer. I also love that virtual machines run great on it for my studies. The processor is Intel Centrino 2. It has an eSATA port that has a faster transfer rate than USB. My hard drive is 250GB. I currently have Windows XP installed, but if I ever wanted to, I could install Windows Vista on it. The power cord has a special feature where there is a blue light near the end adapter part that plugs into the computer. This helps you determine if the power cord is on and working. The keyboard is nice as well. There are three handy buttons that allows you to turn up the volume, turn down the volume, or mute the volume. You should buy the Dell Latitude E6500. I think you will be very satisfied.

Dell Latitude e6500 is a solid performer.

The Dell Latitude e6500 is a terrific mix of personal, business, and light-weight gaming machine.  My build includes 4GB memory, 200GB HDD, Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 at 2.5Ghz, and Nvidia Quadro NVS 160M video card.  While not bleeding edge by any means, it is powerful enough for daily computing, business applications, and entertainment via DVD or games. The additional 9 cell battery I got does pose a bit of a hassle with fitting into the case and adds some heft to the laptop.  All-in-all, the additional battery use I get is worth the hassle.  I can confidently run on battery power for hours without worrying about a shutdown. Windows 7 came pre-installed and it's outstanding.  I've never had a problem with blue screens, lock-ups, erratic shut-downs, or installing and running any applications.  And running on 64-bit OS allows me to use all the memory installed on the machine.  I haven't found a case where 64-bit has been a problem, either for the laptop or any typical program I try and run. Most games, even new ones, run well enough.  The settings are usually toned down, but don't need to be at the lowest settings.  For instance I was recently playing The Witcher at medium settings and performance was acceptable.

E6500 A Great Work Laptop

4

I work for an IT department and have the Dell Latitude E6500 laptop for my work computer. It's average weight, compared to other laptops I've had with the 15 inch monitor. It's a great little work station. I have never had any problems with the speed or amount of RAM. I use it with some relatively resource intensive development programs and have been happy with the result. I currently have Windows XP on it, but it sounds like it works equally well (or better) with Windows 7. One quirk I have with the docking station is I have to put the laptop in stand by mode before I dock, or things lock up and I have to hard reboot the computer. This may be an operating system problem though, rather than with the laptop. I have the extended life battery so that I get about 4 hours of battery life. I use it all day, every work day and have enjoyed the experience. I'd recommend this laptop to anyone from a home user to a professional.

dell latitude notebook, above and beyond expectations

4

when i bought my dell latitude laptop, i was not expecting the quality and assurance that it ended up giving me. dell definately stepped up their manufacturing with this product. it has lasted me quite a while and i have definately gotten my moneys worth. i have no regrets purchasing this laptop as i have with other more expensive laptops i purchased. this laptop made me fall in love with dell and the other products they have to offer. it was a normal looking laptop, no webcam or anything special, however while all my friends and family were repeatedly getting repairs for their newer model laptops, my dell was running perfectly fine with no problems and no need to go to the repair shop once. i dont think it plans on dying ever! if you are planning on purchasing a dell latitude laptop, just do it. you will not have any regrets.; i have encouraged all my friends to do the same and thye are grateful!

amazing processing speed

Dell Latitude E6500 is the best laptop that has suited my needs. I usually do a lot of stuff at the same time and I tend to have lot of appliactions running at the same time. This laptop has helped a great deal in multitasking with no slow down or abrupt crashes which I used to encounter in my previous laptops. the speed is good, no complain so far about the memory or storage space. Its bluetooth and wireless works just great, camera is good and so far it has managed  to keep me happy with the kind of expectation that i hav with a laptop. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to multitask and has in his/her everyday life a lot of applications that needs to be running at the same time daily. hibernating is great, there were instance where restoring has helped a great deal. Dell Latitude E6500 looks great, works great and is study too. I use it daily and i am a very happy customer.

The E6500 is a powerful workstation

4

I have recently bought two of these to use at the office and I was very pleased with the speed and graphics on these machines.  One is used as a desktop with a dell docking station and the other is used when I am on the road.  The battery life on the standard battery is very nice,  I am a heavy user and I get between four and six hours worth of usage.  The E6500 is very lightweight and great to travel with.  I have had many dell laltops over the years and they always seem to run great for a while but then deteriorate quickly.  The E6500 has taken everything I have thrown at it and it still runs as good as the first day I bought it.  The only thing that I wish I would had got was a blu ray drive instead of the standard dvd burner.  Overall if you are looking for a high powered workstation small in size I would definitely recommend the dell E6500.  I haven't found another machine out there that compares to it.

Should Buy it

5

I purchased this computer for doing school work.  I am 46 years old. My company closed and decided to go back to school.  I needed a computer that had everything in I would need for doing my school work. so I purchased this one.  The best investment I could have bought.  It was perfect, small, easy to use and was able to take back and forth with me anywhere I went.  If anyone is looking for a small computer this is the one you should purchase.

I love using the Dell Latitude E6500; it does ALL I NEED!

I've been using this laptop for only a short time, about a month, but it has come through in an outstanding manner on every task I've wanted to perform.  I download music, video, and games in an exceedingly quick speed.  The quality of the video is great.  It is preloaded with the operating system of Windows 7, and I am thoroughly enjoying that aspect also.  This is one laptop I would recommend for any type user, whether it be a newbie or a techie.  It has all the bells and whistles anyone could ask for.

This laptop is definatly a good buy and i would highly recomend it to anyone out there looking for a laptop that is dependable and has alot of great attributes. the laptop has a very quick performance speed which is good because we people are not very pacient these days. it has a very large memory for storing whatever you need to store. i definatly like the keyboard. it has very defined keys and you know what your pressing. it has 2 usb ports on the side and one on the back which is good for plugging in a cordless mouse or a flash drive. the display could be better, but it does its job. It has a very quick start up! although the laptop has great performance it doesnt have the most stylish appearance. but i guess what really matters is on the inside and not the outside. definatly true with this computer. i also do not like the touch pad. compared to HP it is terrible overall this is a great product!
