I had no idea there was a computer that the blind could use without assistance until I met a blind lady who wanted a computer. We were able to find the Dell Speakeasy, which was not our only choice. This computer talks to you and tells you what to do. It also has "bubbles" on the keys to make it easy to locate them.  If you want to you can switch over to regular use so sighted people can use it in the way they are use to. I could talk about this forever but I guess it would be easier to let you ask questions if you are interested. THis lady was 93 when she got it and she was able to use it. It was that easy.
