Being a long time customer of Dell, when they acquired Alienware, many were torn because as of late, Dell has not been known for their once high-quality products, whereas Alienware had been producing high-performance, premium machines for those who were willing to pay, well, the premium. Taking a leap-of-faith, that Dell would uphold the tradition Alienware set, I went and picked up an Aurora R2 system packed with a nice Intel Core i3 processor as well as 4GB of DDR3 RAM. Up until now, I have not looked back; upgrading the stock GPU to a GeForce GTX 260, I have the freedom of overclocking my system due to Dell/Alienware's liquid cooling system. Furthermore, the sleek black chassis has all the bells and well, lights. It handles all of my gaming as well as my modeling duties, even with all of the factory bloatware installed. Dell has not ruined Alienware (yet) after all.
