We did a lot of research before deciding on our first car seat for our son. Well after lots of searching and debating this one won, safety ratings were great! Colors were great, as soon as we bought the system, it came with a car seat and stroller we were in love. I must say the car seat is a bit large, it doesn't fit in the front part of carts, and if you dont have a larger backseat then I would recommend a smaller car seat. But besides that its extremely easy to install and looks wonderful, very comfortable, padded on the bum so little ones feel comfy riding in the car. This car seat was perfect for my son. From day one I could tell that the quality was good and it was made for a newborn and infant. The travel system is a great option so that you can carry your little one who is often sleeping in and out of the car.Once he hit 15 pounds I typically stopped carrying him around though because with the weight of my son plus the car seat the carrying handle would often make my arm sore.The stroller that goes with this travel system is very bulky but definitely worth the pain when your child is an infant. Once he could sit up on his own we opted for a smaller umbrella stroller. The colors that the keyfit come in are gender neutral and it is easy to clean. It was nice to buy the extra base for my husband's car so that either of us could pick him up from daycare. What a great idea and a great system. I would and have recommended this to all of our friends. Good job chicco!

We purchased this seat for our first child and were able to use it until he turned 1 year. With a 30lb weight limit, he did not outgrow the seat or force us to buy a new seat within his first year. When our second child arrived just 9 months later, I planned to reuse the seat. Chicco has wonderful fabric. Our seat cover has been washed over 10 times. It shows very little wear in the fabric. The seat easily fits into the base, into cars without the base, into the cortina stroller, or the Together double stroller. This seat has been in all of those! The Chicco car seat/travel system is absolutely wonderful!! At first, the system was a bit confusing. When we were leaving the hospital, we could not figure out how to change the length of the straps! After a year of practice, we could not have asked for a better car seat. It is very sturdy and is made of top of the line materials. The color scheme for ours is very neutral and could be used for a boy or girl. Everything is machine washable, which makes for easy clean up. The stroller portion is extremely easy to use, in fact I have been able to get it out and set it up with the baby in the other arm. As far as cost is concerned, it was rather expensive compared to the other brands, but the color scheme, easy of use, and quality are worth the difference in price. Also, another advantage that this seat has is that it can be used until the infant is 30 pounds, whereas most only last until the child is 20 pounds.

We have twin boys and bought two Chicco Key fit car seats. They were premature, both weighing only 4llbs at birth. We already had some other carseats that someone gave us, but Chicco is the only brand that has a car seat for babies under 5lbs. They are the #1 rated in safety and I feel like it protects my tiny babies so well! I love the newborn insert, it keeps their heads from moving around like crazy.The hood comes off really easily, a lot of carseat hoods don't.

It's very easy to carry, I can grab both carseats (one in each arm) with out feeling like I'm going to drop them.

Above all the best part was it was super easy to install! The directions were really clear and easy to understand. Gotta love the bubble guide to make sure it's in the right place! Easy to get in and out of the car with the bases and it's easy to transfer to a car that doesn't have bases, The directions are right on the side of the carseat.

This car seat was extremely easy to install. I love that the base has a level and an adjustible foot that makes it very easy to get the height right without stuffing towels under the base! I thought that ths seat had someof the best padding of all of the carseats I looked at at several stores and it seemed like it would be very comfortable. My sons back did get pretty hot but he is hot natured anyway so I can't blame that on the fabric for sure. The car seat is a little wider than I would have liked especially since I had to get it into the back of a coupe. It was a tight squeeze and involved a bit of a roller coaster ride for my son but he never seemed to mind!

When looking for a car seat for my baby, I checked consumer reports.  The Chicco KeyFit was rated #1.  After viewing the car seat at Babies R Us, I can see why.  The plastic is so thick and strong compared to other brands.  While I am not doubting the integrity of other brands, I think the extra money is well worth it for this model.  The installation  is easy, especially if your car is equipped with the "LATCH" system.  The seat/carrier isn't very heavy, but it will become harder and harder to carry your child in it as he/she grows.  My 6 month old is 19lbs now and it is no longer convenient to carry him around.  Please keep in mind whe...

When we bought the Chicco car seat, we were looking for a car seat that would be able to be used for as long as possible, so we could get the most use out of it.  We bought our Chicco car seat at Babies-R-Us and were pleased with it the entire we used it.  We bought the stroller/car seat combination and the wonderful thing about it is that a mom can use the car seat and stroller with only using one hand.  My mom and dad bought a separate base so that they could put it in their car and use the car seat.  I like the way the car seat and stroller work together and the way you can pull the sun shade down completely in case it is raining or the sun is shining brightly.  I also liked the adjustable head rest the came in handy.  This was a WONDERFUL product for us and we will use it again if we have another child.  I highly recommend this product for cost, ease of use for moms and dads alone without help, availability to get additional bases for grandparents and for durability.

I was given this carseat as a gift when I had my third child. I really like the chicco keyfit a lot. It has a lot of padding and cushion that many other carseats lack and seems very comforable without having to buy additional inserts. I like the way that the base of the carseat locks into my van without having to use the seatbelt and it is very easy to lock into and take out of the base. The material that the seat is made of is very easy to clean and does not stain easily...and its cute, too! The only problems that I have with this seat is that it does not lock on to the buggy at the supermarket like most other carseats do and it is more expensive than many other carseats on the market. Other than that, I have no complaints with this carseat. It has been great.

I chose this car seat for it's safety ratings as well as the look of it. It has a lot of padding on every side of the seat. it also seats infants 4lbs to 32lbs which is awesome. what really sold me was how deep the bab y sits in the seat i felt like she was protected from every angle. and the color i chose was just an added plus. we were in a wreck and my bab y was completly safe. the car seat sty intact did not move kept my infant safe and when it was over i took the seat apart and in speccted it you couldn't tell it was in the wreck. we disposed of it and replaced it. i would buy this seat over and over again it was great. the only downfall was the shade does not cover well but use a blanket and your set. i only wish chicco had the next sz up seat. we are now in a britax.

Oh my goodness, I loved this carseat.  I actually bought the travel system which I don't think I would do again because the stroller is quite bulky, but I am convinced this is THE BEST infant carrier/carseat around...especially for the price! 

It's super user friendly.  Installation, removal from the base, etc.  were always a breeze because they really thought of everything.  I have compared its ease-of-use to carriers that my friends and family have used and this one beats them all out easily.

I cannot say enough good things about our Chicco carseat.  It is easy to use and very safe.  It was so easy to install that we could leave it with the grandparents and they could install it without any problems.  The fabric is easy to wash and does not stain.  The straps are really easy to adjust and never got tangled.  There is an infant body and head insert which is really nice.  I did have to buy an extra insert though when the baby was first born.  The seat is heavy, but there are heavier seat out there.  The seat does not fit in shopping carts-so beware if you want a seat that can do that.  Chiccos safety rating is outstanding and we have been very happy with this seat.  We received another seat as a gift and our Chicco is so much better and much easier to use.  The Chicco feels really tight when you install it and does not wiggle around in the car seat like some of the other seats.  I really recommend this seat.

We bought this car seat 1.5 years ago and we used to love it: the recline feature is easy to use and it reclines just enough for your kid to get comfortable and fall asleep. More, the colors are great compare to all other car seats available. Unfortunately, we recently changed our car which has a slightly "stiffer" ride and on every small bumps on the road now, the seat rattles when my daughter is not in it. It is pretty loud and it really starts to annoy me. It looks like, because you can slide the upper part for reclining, there is a small space between the upper and the bottom part(which may have become larger with time)then it's enough to make it rattle. If you put something soft between the 2 parts (top and bottom), it's getting better but you have to remove it to use the recline position when your child is seated.

I absolutly love this carseat.  I never have any problems with it.  Their are 2 different strollers to choose from to use as a travel system.  The carseat easily comes apart for washing.  The added inserts for securing the baby when the baby is still small are great.  I have taken out the head rest part for my son, but am able to keep in the body support for him.  The safety ratings are great.  The straps are easily adjustable.  It is a little pricey, but I am willing to pay the extra for the safety that this carseat provides.  I have had several compliments on the carseat itself, whether it be at Wal-Mart or just getting him out of the car at the park.  The color I chose was the orange, anf could not be happier.

I am a first time parent concerned with safety and value.  I was looking for something with great reviews and that would be worth the money.  I purchased the chicco key fit 30 car seat/stroller combo.  This seat holds up to 30lbs and 30 inches.  My son is now 8.5 months, 28 inches and 18lbs.  This seat will last me quite a while more and will ensure that my son stays refacing for as long as possible without having to upgrade to a convertible carseat.  A lot of other women I know that had babies when I did have upgraded long ago and wasted money on their carseat.  This car seat has the great ratings and gets lots of use.  I love chicco!
