Most HelpfulMy cats love Blitz Turbo and it keeps them entertained and offers an acceptable place to scratch. The ball in the outside ring is pawed at until it goes around the circle at break neck speed. The cats are always pawing at it too, trying to get that white ball out of there! Only once did my cat succeed in that, and he wasn't sure what to do once he got it out of there.
If you spray or sprinkle cat nip on the cardboard inner ring, this will really entice your cats to use it as a scratching pad. The only drawback is, you do get some cardboard on the floor and in the outer ring where the...

My Cats Play with this all the time!
It is ultra-cool because they can play on it together and I can join in! It also provides an attractive place to scratch (rather than the furniture!)
This is a MUST have!.
It is inexpensive and durable.
The scatching element can be replaced so the toy lasts forever!
nobody can resist a kitty entertaining itself with one of these when they come to our rescue to decide on their new best friend.
great for keeping the cats active---big ones interact with the little ones so potential adopters can see which kitty will acclimate to the new home if they already have a pet cat or two in residence.
only drawback is that they always seem to want to play play play in middle of the night!
I have three cats. When I first brought this home, my male took it over. He played with it for a few days, then got tired. Then my oldest female did then same. However, the baby, 1 yr old, has not lost her interest in it and continues to play with it. They all have used the scratching thing in the middle. That thing is a plus because when they get tired of it, I sprinkle some cat nip on it and its like a new toy all over again. The ball is a little heavy, it looks like a ping pong ball, but it is heavier. When the baby gets tired of playing by herself, I go ahead and help her out...
read full review »The turbo cat toy/scratcher is a fantastic toy. I adopted a cat last December. She was only two months old. I bought her this toy and she immediately took to it. It was so funny watching her run around trying to catch this ball. She would also just nap right on it. She is now almost a year old and she still plays with it. I had been hesitant when I first bought it, thinking the cat would be bored after a while. But surprisingly no she loves it. I just adopted another kitten two months ago and this one also loves this toy. Both of them now fight for the chance to play with it. ...
read full review »I bought my cat the Blitz Turbo Scratcher Toy about two years ago. I was a little doubtfull at first, but my cat Jasmine took to it at once, she never gets tired of pushing the ball around the circle. She plays for hours on her own and I can even hear her playing with it in the dark. She also has a quirk that she has to have a cover over it like a house, which is one of the square nylon cubes with holes in the sides, she also takes her toys in it, To make it more interesting I put cat nip on the scratching area, I would recommend this product for anyone, especially for a cat that is alone a lot,...
read full review »I have had one of these for around 4 years now. My cats love it. They slap the ball around over and over. They have even gotten the ball out. I just hear the ball going round and round at warp speed, sometimes all night. Even my oldest cat (12) loves it.
The scratch pad is also the best scratch pad they have ever had. They use it more than any other. I love that the cardboard circle in the middle is replaceable and when it gets too torn up you can just throw another one in.
Sometimes they like catnip in the middle or I put Pounce in the ring.
They will use it with or without the scratchpad in...
read full review »I received one of these as a gift and right away thought that it looked like a great toy for my siamese cat! Wow. was I ever wrong! She tried it one time, licked her paw and looked at me with a look that said " Are you kidding me! That thing hurts and I want nothing to do with it! " I tried to get her to try it for a couple of weeks but that one try was enough for her to want nothing to do with it. I then gave it to a friend for her cats and guess what, they absolutely love it! So I guess that it all depends on the cat and what they like doing. Just make sure that you can return it before you purchase...
read full review »All my cats LOVE this toy, even the old curmudgeon tomcat. He just plays with it when no one is watching (he THINKS). We solved the "noisy at night" complaint by replacing the hard plastic ball with a rubber bouncy ball of about the same size. It rolls just great, but is much less noisy. And the cardboard bits? Eh... that's what vacuums are for! We had to buy two of these, because one cat would start playing and the others would get jealous!
The middle part wears down after a few months, but you can just flip it over for another couple of months. The refills come in 2-packs, so...
read full review »I have three Turbo Scratchers in my house. All the cats enjoy the scratcher part and most of them also enjoy the ball that spins around the track. My youngest cat lies on the floor next to the toy and bats at the ball with both front paws. She has great paw-eye coordination! There is often some clean up required when small pieces of the corrugated cardboard are scratched off, but it is not a big problem. Cats need to be able to scratch in order to keep their claws on good condition. This toy meets that need and also is mentally stimulating. It comes with a packet of catnip, which encourages use...
