American Standard's Allegiance central a/c is aptly named

5

We purchased this central air conditioner in 2006 to replace an ancient unit from 1971. The installer recommended the unit for its energy efficiency and reliability. Because the old unit had been limping and devouring energy for several years before its death, the new unit was an exciting and welcomed change. To start with, it's handsome in a more contemporary way, taller, thinner, and not something the neighbor woman's offspring can throw their cigarette butts and beer cans on.  This unit does a fine job of making and pushing cold air through the ductwork of our 1900+ square foot home. When we turn it on, it quickly cools the house down and clears the humidity out. We are stingy with energy; we keep the A/C set at 80. If the weather is too horrid, I might temporarily drop it to 79 or 78. Up here near Green Bay's "Frozen Tundra," we don't get a lot of truly horrid-hot days during the summer, but this air conditioner is there when we need it, and it fixes things fast. It has not required any service in five summer seasons.
