This shampoo works well, but not without costs.

Comments about Alba Avalon Organics Lemon Clarifying Shampoo with Shea Butter 11 fl oz:

I was so excited to find this shampoo (and its accompanying conditioner). We have very hard water here, and it dulls my strawberry blonde hair and makes it an unexciting dishwater color with little shine or luster. I have looked long and hard for a clarifying shampoo and conditioner that world work to brighten my dulling hair by getting rid of all that dulling mineral residue. This does just that! My hair got brighter and shinier within just a few uses, and it stayed that way. The problem is that it also dried out my hair pretty significantly. My hair is usually fairly oily, and this made it very dry -- dry enough that I had to stop using it every day. I now use it about 2 times per week, and it still does the trick, keeping my hair residue-free. On the other days I use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to replenish the lost moisture. With this system I am happy with the results, but wish I didn't have to keep all those bottles in my shower!

Good natural scent!

Comments about Alba Avalon Organics Lemon Clarifying Shampoo with Shea Butter 11 fl oz:

I like Avalon Organics Lemon Shampoo. While I prefer my beauty items to be scent free, Avalon Organics Lemon Shampoo seems to have a lemon scent that doesn’t bother me and disappears soon after I wash my hair. This is probably because they use essential oils as their base for the scent. Since it is natural not a chemical the scent just doesn’t have the staying power of the chemical stuff. (Thank goodness). I don’t know if people are really aware of this but most scents are just chemical solvents that smell good to our nose. Imagine a gasoline and benzene that smell good. Not much better then huffing glue really……. So there you have my thoughts on what I feel about chemically scented products. And normally I would hunt down unscented products but they are pretty hard to find. I like it too, that Avalon Organics Lemon Shampoo does not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which has been proven to turn into nitrates that soak into your skin. (For instance where did you think that lotion went that you put on an hour ago, into the air?) I recommend Avalon Organics Lemon Shampoo!
