I've tried a few eyelid primers before, though I don't wear eyeshadow that often. When I do, however, I want it to stay on my eyelids. This primer does it. I received it in a gift package for the holidays along with other e.l.f. products and hadn't even known they made so many products. I tried it with their eyeshadows and none of the pigment moved for about 6-8 hours. It's great for everyday, it's not too heavy. The primer is slightly pigmented but once it's rubbed into your skin, you barely notice it, though I am very fair-skinned. I'm sure there are better eyelid primers out there, but this is the best I've found for a drugstore price and it does a great job at keeping the makeup where it needs to be. I've tried it as a bit of an under-eye brightener (again, I am very fair-skinned), and it seems to do an okay job of that, but I'm not sure if it would work on all skin types. It seems to stop oil from being produced though, so I'm sure it could be used for other purposes.

Works amazing as a primer on the eyes. I also used in under the eye for my bags. It worked amazing at keeping the makeup in place and to not crease. Also this primer has an amazing scent. It was kind of fruity. Though i wish there was a bigger tube. I always have to but three tubes to last me to the next shopping trip. I usually only go to target once a month.

I bought my daughter an ELF make up set for Christmas. She is very fashion savvy and couldn't wait to supplement her usual make up routine with an eyelid primer to make her eye make up last longer in the Texas heat. Imagine her shock and dismay when, after the first time she used it, the skin around her eye became severely red and started peeling. She was horrified. She was also worried about putting her contacts in and was unable to use any make up at all for fear of making it worse. We ended up taking her to the doctor who advised putting hydrocortisone on it daily and avoiding make up until it cleared up. I cannot recommend you avoid this product enough. She does have sensitive skin, but this reaction was greater than any I have ever seen her have to a product. The hopes of keeping her eye shadow on her lid aren't as concerning any more as the thought of having another such reaction. We won't buy the eyelid primer ever again.

I was surprised at how awesome the elf eyelid primer works in comparison to my other eye makeup primers! I got this primer in a set with some eyeshadow and WOW! I was a bit skeptical at first because it doesn't look like anything special based on packaging or design of the product-but was I ever surprised. The elf eyelid primer goes on smoothly and my eye makeup adhered to it with no problems! My eye makeup lasted all day long with no creasing or smudges. I have used all sorts of eye shadow brands with this primer and they all work great with it! I highly recommend this inexpensive primer as must have for makeup wearers. It really works as well as some of my high end primers.

This is the only eye primer that I use, it is a really good price and does exactly what I am looking for. I love makeup and especially eye makeup. This primer makes my eyes pop! It brings out the color of each eye shadow. I love this primer. Especially for the price! ELF make up usually is really good and so cheap! Which is perfect when you are a broke college student who loves makeup! It goes on nicely and absorbs quickly. I do let it dry for a minute before I put on my eye shadow, which seems to work the best. The consistency is good, it is not too thick nor too thin. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good eye primer. And for such a good price!

I had never used an eyeshadow primer before but wanted to give it a shot after seeing how effective it could be from other beauty gurus. As I was not too sure if I really needed it, I did not want to invest in an expensive primer, like the Urban Decay Primer Potion or Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance. Also, I heard that e.l.f.'s extremely inexpensive version was generally comparable. After trying e.l.f.'s Eyelid Primer, I really do not know how I have applied eyeshadow all this time without it! The primer does a great job at intensifying the colors and increasing their staying power. While the staying power is not *very* long lasting, it does last for a good amount of time. The primer is not too sticky, and I do not see my eyeshadow creasing as it normally does. For the price, I would definitely re-purchase!

ELF eye primer is so good that I even can't believe it! It costs only 2 bucks and works better than a 20 buck thing! I used urband decay eye shadow primer for a long time. I used to love it, because there is nothing much to replace it. I was so happy that ELF launched this product last year and could not wait to try it out!  I love elf's brushes, inexpensive and work really well. So does this primer! It is by far the best product from ELF absolutely. It feels so smooth and can be applied so easily. And it is that dry. It is just right for the eyes. It evens the tone of eye lid and does make eye shadow stay long.  Urban Decay primer is so dry that it even added lines to my eyes! ELF primer is not too dry or too oily. It is just right, at least to me! I am so happy to find the perfect primer for my eyes. Now the shadows looks better also. I strongly recommend it. Sometime ELF will have a sale 50% sitewide, isn't that perfect?

I bought this purely to see if there was such thing as as CHEAP eyeshadow primer. There is = ) This is it. It does it's job as a primer, but you really do get what you paid for. DO NOT expect this to last you more than 8 hours. You are luck if this last you more than 5 hours. If you will be sweating, or you will get wet, this is not the product for you. If you are looking for a cheap primer that you can use everyday to work, to school, or just the daily grind, then BY ALL MEANS, get this! Save your good primer for your evening out or when you actually want your eyeshadow to stay on ALL day. AND, this is still better than nothing. If you love your eyeshadow, or want to use it's worth, then using this primer is better than NOT using any primer. With that said, I would prefer my Laura G's Spackle. The regular Spackle (not just for eyes) can be used as a face primer and eyeshadow primer. I use it JUST for the eyeshadow primer and with the little I use each time, it will last me AWHILE. Application: I hate the "lip gloss" style brush. I would have preferred no brush or a soft brush. Their brush dispenses way too much product each time and you really can't spread it out nice and even.
