I am one that rarely wears eye shadow because it always seems to wear off before I am ready for it to. This eye primer has solved that issue for me. You apply a tiny dob onto each lid lid and then apply your shadow as you normally do. You shadow will stay on your lids much, much longer than if you just applied shadow. It seems to provide a smoother surface for the shadow and added sticking power. The tube is small but it has lasted quite a while for me. It is a fair value compared to other similar products out there. I also have sensitive eye lids. This product doesn't bother my lids or eyes in any way. I certainly will always have this in my makeup bag!

This product is great! I use it mainly to keep colors vibrant and from smudging. Call a Mary Kay consultant to test this product. On the back of your hand, apply your favorite eye shadow color without the eye primer. On the other hand, try the same eye shadow with the eye primer. You'll see the difference and it what it does for the color and keeping it in place. Try it on your eyes and see how much longer your eye shadow lasts. Try it, try it, try it. It is 100% satisfaction guaranteed.The only downfall is that it is an extra step, but that can't be blamed on the eye primer, it can only be blamed on the eye shadow that needs it.

Anyone who's read any of my other Mary Kay reviews knows I was never a big makeup person until recently. Even when I'm wearing makeup, I've never seen a need for any sort of primers beyond a basic foundation. I had gone to a couple of Mary Kay parties and we'd used the eye primer, but I had never paid attention to if it made a difference or not. I was hanging out with my friend, who's also a Mary Kay consultant, one time and asked her just what the point of the eye primer was and if it really did anything. She got out some and some eye shadow and had me do one eye using the primer and one eye without. It really did make a difference! I ended up buying my own tube right then and there. I've found that using the eye primer helps my eyeshadow and eye liner go on smoother and easier. I also no longer get the feeling that I'm getting loose "dust" in my eyes since I started using the eye primer. I can't tell if it makes it last any longer, but it does make it feel "smoother" overall. It also keeps it looking more even and makes "smudging" and blending easier and look nicer. As with most Mark Kay products, a tiny bit goes a long way and it the tube lasts a long time. The Mary kay Eye Primer is definitely a product I'd recommend.

i love this product. it helps my eye shadow stay in place and so that it doesn't run or look yucky at the end of the day. i like that its waterproof and that it lasts a long time. just a little dab in the morning and i still look great at the end of the day thanks to this product. i would recommend this to family and friends looking for a great way for the eye shadow to stay on and look great during the day.

My sister purchased the Mary Kay eye primer and didn't like it so she gave it to me. I, on the other hand, love it! Just a tiny bit is needed for each eyelid and my eye make up stays put. It looks fresh all day! When I started wearing it, I received quite a few compliments on my eyes - all due to the primer.  I would buy it again and will have to do so very soon. I recommend it strongly for anyone who feels that during the day, their eye make up fades or creases.  It's hypoallergenic, so all should be able to wear it without issue and Mary Kay has a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if you don't like it, but you will, you  can return it! I have chosen to live a life free of chemicals or non organic products and I find this is the one thing in my makeup bag that I can't part with. Before I bought Mary Kay eye primer I would aply my eye makeup and within a few hour's it would be faded and smeared but now I have to use eye makeup remover at bedtime to take it off. I feel more confident when I wear makeup now because I'm not afraid that my eyes are smeared while someone is looking at my face.(racoon's eyes no more) I have tried other products that compare themselves to Mary Kay eye primer but they do not stand up to the same rigors.  I have worked in my garden as well as getting in the pool  and come in to look in the mirror and see my eye makeup. I am not claiming that it makes your makeup waterproof but in my situation I have noticed dramatic improvements.The formula glides onto your eyelids with a transparent finish leaving your eyes a fresh palette for your chosen eye color.I think anyone trying this formula would look far and wide before finding a comparable product.

Mary Kay Eye Primer helps conceal any skin discolorations so that when you apply make-up, you have a smooth, even area to apply over.  Once you use the Primer, you are able to cover up any discolorations to the skin and prep the area for your regular eye make-up.   It is smooth, not too thick and works well with other make-up.  It also last throughout the day without smugging or smearing and helps keep your regular make-up in place.  I also have found that I need less make-up when it is applied over the primer.  Since I'm starting with a smooth, even toned surface, any other make-up that I apply can be minimized.  Less make-up also helps to minimize any fine lines around the eye area.  Make-up tends to settle into fine lines, sometimes making them more prominent rather than covering them up.  I've found with the Primer, less make-up is necessary and I have a cleaner, smoother look that lasts all day.  I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a clean, smooth look that lasts all day and gives a natural, fresh look.  It also last a long time, as a minimum amount is need when you apply.  Five stars!

I had never really considered my need for an eye-primer. Actually, it sounded kind of fussy and unnecessary at first. But, I was tired of my eyeshadow disappearing after a day in the hot Tucson sun. I used to just give my eyes a little bit of liquid makeup for the eyeshadow to stick to, but then I found myself using a dry powder face makeup, so I needed to try something new. The Mary Kay Eye Primer was just the ticket. A tiny, tiny dab will do every day. I make sure to apply it with a small brush so that I'm not tugging on my delicate eye skin with my finger (BIG no-no!). All of my eyeshadows (regardless of the brand) go on smoothly over the Eye Primer. I have noticed that sometimes if I put on too much Eye Primer, it can be a bit sticky and tacky - it makes eyeshadow hard to blend. I just have to remember not to use as much. At the end of the day, my eyeshadow is still there, just where I put it. One tube usually lasts me a few months! It's great.

I very rarely wear make-up, but when I did, the eye shadows would only stay put for a short amount of time before moving into the creases of my eye lids.  I tried the tricks that othes had taught me - put foundation on my eye lids, etc.  However, none of those worked.  I ended up meeting someone who was a Mary Kay consultant and she let me try out this product before I purchased.  I couldn't believe how well this product works!  Some of the eye shadow still goes into the creases of my eye lids, but overall, it makes the eye shadow stay put for 1000 times longer than it would without.  Mary Kay Eye Primer works wonders!  It's a staple in my make-up bag and I wouldn't use eye shadow without it!
